January, 19th 2023 - Telindus becomes Corporate Baker on the Tezos blockchain and integrates the "Choose Your Baker" solution
Telindus has officially announced its involvement in the Tezos ecosystem as a Corporate Baker. Thanks to this new position, Telindus will contribute to the smooth running of the Tezos network by securing the blockchain and will actively participate in its governance.
Telindus Luxembourg makes its debut in the blockchain world by becoming Corporate Baker on Tezos. Its main role as Baker will be to create and validate blocks on the blockchain and to secure the network by actively participating in the governance, thanks to its voting right proportional to the number of tez (Tezos tokens) held. The new position of Telindus now allows it to integrate the Corporate Baker Benelux committee and thus to exchange on new projects related to Web 3.0. Thus, new perspectives are emerging for both B2B (Telindus) and B2C (Tango) activities on the blockchain ecosystem, via NFTs for example.
In particular, Telindus plans to implement the "Choose Your Baker" solution developed by Coexya, an independent and multi-specialist leader in the digital industry that operates as an integrator, software publisher and consulting firm. Thanks to this open-source solution, Telindus is able to filter out validation nodes that do not meet its compliance criteria such as certain regulatory requirements related to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism (LBT/FT). An integration made possible with the advice and technical support of Nomadic Labs, the largest R&D center in the Tezos ecosystem.
"We are delighted to have Telindus Luxembourg as our new Corporate Baker and to accompany the teams in their first steps on the blockchain ecosystem with the integration of Choose Your Baker. Their vision will be an asset in securing and governing Tezos" says Hadrien Zerah, President of Nomadic Labs
March, 15th 2023 - Proximus and Google Cloud to Deliver Sovereign Cloud Services in Belgium and Luxembourg
Strategic partnership to be the first to deliver Google Distributed Cloud Hosted - a disconnected sovereign cloud solution - to governments, regulated enterprises and international organisations in Europe.
Proximus and Google Cloud, today announced a five-year agreement to deliver sovereign cloud services in Belgium and Luxembourg. This partnership will help securely deploy sensitive, mission-critical workloads and provide next-generation digital sovereignty controls for governments, regulated enterprises and international organisations.
Under this agreement, sovereign cloud services will support disconnected operations through Google Distributed Cloud Hosted, which does not require connectivity to Google Cloud to manage infrastructure, services, APIs, or tooling. Google Cloud’s sovereign solutions are designed to support data, operational and software sovereignty requirements, increasing customer control and transparency for sensitive data moving to the cloud.
“Data sovereignty is vital to European and international organisations as they digitise their operations and deploy the latest cloud innovations '' said Adaire Fox-Martin, President of Google Cloud Go to Market & Head of Google Ireland. “These sovereign cloud solutions will help ensure that public and private-sector organisations can advance their digital transformation agendas using the latest technologies without compromising on the security and sovereignty of their data and systems.”
Proximus plans to work with LuxConnect, a data center service provider owned by the Luxembourg state, to bring these sovereign solutions to life in Belgium and Luxembourg.
“Sovereign cloud has been on Luxembourg’s digital agenda for many years and will fill an important gap in our strategy to become a trusted digital hub from which we serve the most demanding public and private clients.” said Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg.
“We are extremely proud to announce the first Google cloud disconnected solution in the Belux region. This is a major milestone as Proximus, partnering notably with LuxConnect, will be able to guarantee full operational sovereignty for its clients – on EU’s terms. Proximus will moreover leverage its vast cloud services experience in order to bring these disconnected cloud services to the Belgium and Luxembourg markets.” says Guillaume Boutin, CEO of Proximus
This agreement combines the strengths of both partners - Google Cloud’s trusted leadership and innovation with the power of Proximus’ experienced teams to deliver a unique offering in the region” said Paul Konsbruck, CEO of LuxConnect.

April 7th, 2022 - « Benefit from the best of both worlds »: the pledge made by Telindus and Microsoft.
Microsoft and Telindus have strengthened their alliance by designing an innovative Azure cloud solution that allows customers to benefit from public cloud features in a private environment, hosted in Luxembourg. This hybrid cloud solution facilitates compliancy with various regulations and promises to accelerate the move to the cloud. Especially for very critical workloads.
Based on Microsoft Azure Confidential Computing, Azure Arc and Telindus’ U-flex, this hybrid cloud solution allows customers deploy Azure-native services from Azure to a local environment (U-flex) with data localization and processing in Luxembourg.
U-flex is a well-established private & regulated IT outsourcing platform, based in Luxembourg, and operated by Telindus. It has a proven track record with customers in Luxembourg and beyond. Many clients have chosen to move their IT to the U-flex platform, in a full IT outsourcing scheme.
Azure Arc is a set of technologies that brings Azure security and cloud-native services to hybrid and multicloud environments. It enables customer to secure and govern infrastructure and apps anywhere, build cloud-native apps faster with familiar tools and services to run them on any Kubernetes platform, and modernize their data estate with Azure data and machine-learning services.
By combining Azure & U-flex with Azure Arc, Telindus and Microsoft make it possible to deliver cloud native services in a sovereign and regulated environment. “The combination of U-flex and Azure Arc really gives customers the best of both worlds, in a sense that customers can now benefit from Azure native features, while at the same time keeping their data in a secured and regulated space” says Gérard Hoffmann, CEO of Telindus Luxembourg.
We strongly believe that this new hybrid value proposition, based on Azure, Azure Arc and Azure Confidential Computing, is providing great value to the market, as it allows customers to benefit from secure Azure native cloud features in both the public and the private cloud environment. With Azure Confidential Computing we add innovative end-to-end encryption of data and applications in the public cloud.” adds Didier Ongena, Managing Director Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg.
This solution is offered to every company in Europe, which would like to benefit from the innovation of Azure, combined with the privacy, sovereignty and localization of data.
Septembre 22th, 2022 - Telindus offers a new Assisted Reality solution for more productive and secure collaboration
Telindus is actively participating in the digitalization of the Luxembourg economy and is now offering a new Assisted Reality solution that allows connected workers to be more productive and feel more secure in their daily tasks.
Telindus’ new Assisted Reality solution is designed to deliver greater productivity and safety in real-time collaboration, inspection, maintenance and repair activities in the industrial and healthcare sectors. Operating with 5G, 4G or Wi-Fi connectivity, the proposed Connected Worker Assisted Reality solution allows companies to eliminate the costly expense of sending experts into the field and allows for an effective virtual collaboration with frontline workers.
"Our goal is to improve the efficiency, safety and experience of frontline workers by allowing them to view the information they need, when they need it, while maintaining full awareness of what is happening in their environment. Information is available in their immediate field of view, accessible hands-free and workers are not distracted by computer-generated visual distractions" explains Julien Baudouin, Innovation Manager at Telindus.
The solution, which has been successfully tested, has made it possible to digitise the work and maintenance of technicians on the antennas of a mobile network operator e.g. Their actions are thus carried out in complete safety, with their hands completely free, and allow them to focus on their tasks.
"With Telindus' Assisted Reality solution, our technicians' inspection or maintenance operations are made easier and more efficient. They benefit from a tool that allows them to document any failures live and to obtain immediate remote assistance in case of an unexpected situation. December 02, 2021 - VERMEG relies on Telindus' cloud offering to guarantee the best cost-efficiency ratio for all its customers
VERMEG relies on Telindus' cloud offering to guarantee the best "cost-efficiency" ratio for all its customers
A major player in the publishing of software for the financial sector, Vermeg has chosen to host its platform on Telindus' U-Flex cloud offering. In this way, the company intends to distribute its SaaS mode solutions Soliam and Solife to its customers more efficiently with the highest security guarantees and all the flexibility required.
Cutting-edge technology with the right partner for the long term
Following the shutdown of its former supplier, the company had to find a new partner. "This change was an opportunity for us to reshape our SaaS platform, with the aim of taking advantage of the latest technological developments in infrastructure management and offering our customers greater flexibility,” comments Frédéric Arman, Delivery Manager Wealth & Asset Management Benelux at VERMEG. “While we wanted to make major changes as part of this transformation, the migration of the customer base had to be completed in less than two years."
It was a challenge to successfully complete such a project in a highly regulated sector. Not only did VERMEG need to find a partner that could provide all the guarantees of compliance with the financial sector regulator but also one that was sufficiently solid to convince customers of the desirability of this change.
The partner chosen by VERMEG was required to complement the application solutions by addressing the specific security and connectivity needs of its customers.
"More than just an 'infrastructure as a service' provider, Telindus offers an application management service. We were able to delegate the operation of our database middleware to its teams,” explains Frédéric Arman. "We have found a partner who will support us in our long-term development thanks to the flexibility of its U-Flex technology offering, which allows us to combine local hosting bricks with the public cloud. Each customer benefits from the advantages of mutualisation while enjoying great scalability of the resources they use. In helps us to achieve the best 'cost-efficiency' ratio. "
Gaining the trust of customers
To implement the migration, it was first necessary to obtain the confidence of VERMEG's customers in Telindus' ability to guarantee the level of service, the security of their data and the availability of distributed applications in SaaS mode from the infrastructure. As part of this migration and for the deployment of new customers, Telindus is working closely with the VERMEG team to address customer concerns and provide the necessary guarantees, which includes the ISO 27001 certification that the operator can claim. "Today, our teams know each other well. Our collaboration has enabled us to set up configuration templates that now allow us to welcome and integrate new customers in record time," comments Anne Thiel, Regional Sales Executive & Deputy Head, VERMEG.
“SaaS solutions are increasingly in demand by our customers,” says Anne Thiel. “The health crisis has reinforced this trend, with players more eager than ever to benefit from the various advantages of this mode of use, namely speed of implementation, data security, simplicity and availability. In the future, by leveraging Telindus' expertise, VERMEG will be in a position to continue to develop its SaaS offering by deploying platforms for other Vermeg solutions. "
October 07, 2021 - Telindus presents its 5G Innovation platform for businesses
Telindus presents its 5G Innovation platform for businesses
In order to support its customers and partners in their innovation efforts within a co-creation mode, Telindus is rolling out a platform dedicated to 5G-based innovation projects. Organizations wishing to implement such projects can connect with Telindus teams to explore the potential for implementation via the dedicated portal: https://cutt.ly/IWantToTry5G
Exploring the possibilities of 5G
The launch of the latest generation of 5G mobile networks in Luxembourg offers many opportunities for transformation to economic players and public organizations. Today, it is up to them to take advantage of the possibilities offered by this new network to innovate, improve their competitiveness or offer new user experiences.
Through this initiative, Telindus makes 5G technology available and supports companies in co-creation mode, allowing them to focus on innovation in their core business.
"With increased bandwidth and decreased reactivity time (latency), we see that 5G is the missing link for many projects that require mobility, flexibility and reliability," explains Hugues Stiernon, Deputy Director, Head of Telecom Solution at Telindus. "However, taking into account the investments involved and the lack of experience of companies with the technology, it is not easy for them to commit to a transformation project starting with 5G. One of the issues addressed by our initiative is therefore to allow them to evaluate the potential of this technology with our teams, to validate their plans and gain experience before investing further.
Drawing on a network of experts
In addition to 5G technology, Telindus provides the necessary expertise in security, IoT, cloud and edge computing. It also relies on its ecosystem of partners with more specific know-how, for example in augmented reality, drones or industrial automation.
At Proximus Luxembourg, the Codit team leverages scalable Microsoft Azure technologies backed by seamless integration across platforms, applications and data sources to convert data into actionable business insights.
A similar platform has been deployed in Belgium, generating real enthusiasm in the market.
We can hence mention:
- the implementation of an augmented or virtual reality application in the construction or remote maintenance sector: Hooyberghs and Mr. Watts
- the use of drones in the health sector: GZA Ziekenhuizen & Helicus
- IOT in the transport sector: H. Essers

April 19, 2021 - Telindus enters into agreement with Ledger Enterprise Solutions to launch a digital assets custody solution for the Luxembourg financial industry
Telindus enters into agreement with Ledger Enterprise Solutions to launch a digital assets custody solution for the Luxembourg financial industry.
Telindus, the award-winning provider of Cloud, ICT and telecom services, partners with Ledger Enterprise Solutions, the digital asset security expert for institutions, to provide the Luxembourg financial market with the best of world technology.
Digital assets market is growing rapidly. Bonds and real estate are being tokenized on the public blockchains, industries have started to introduce blockchain to control the quality and authenticity of goods during the manufacturing process across the supply chain. This is just a glimpse of its current usage. Institutional investors are also starting to identify the value of digital assets as the 21th century’s store of value. The question asked by all: how to secure their digital assets that can worth millions or billions of euro? Because when you lose the private key of your asset, you also lose the asset.
This is where the collaboration between Ledger Enterprise Solutions and Telindus comes to solve the issue. Ledger Enterprise Solutions will supply its Ledger Vault technology, recognized today as the leading enterprise-grade digital assets self-custody solution for custodians, exchanges, banks and traditional financial institutions. Regarding Telindus, since more than 40 years’ experience in Luxembourg, it provides its expertise in managing financial services infrastructure. Telindus has always supported the Luxembourg financial place and its players in their development. In this perspective, it develops innovative tools and services to aim at keeping the Luxembourg financial industry at the forefront. More broadly, Telindus assists its customers in their digital transformation.
Telindus has adapted Ledger Vault governance rules to comply with local Luxembourg financial regulation. Those rules are locally deployed by PSF experts from Telindus in Luxembourg.
At the heart of Europe, Luxembourg is a stable country with a strong economy. There are many reasons to choose Luxembourg among which: one of only ten countries worldwide with an AAA rating, growth consistently above the EU’s average, 40% of all European Tier IV data centres are hosted in Luxembourg with low-latency connections to all of the major European Internet hubs. Financial services in Luxembourg benefit greatly from this stability. Luxembourg is a leading economic player that offers quality infrastructure and services to connect business with the digital world.
Alexandre Lemarchand, Vice President Global Sales & Partners, Ledger, said: “Telindus is an established actor that quickly saw the opportunity behind crypto and digital assets as a whole. As such, they have contributed to the development of our industry. We are proud to partner with them by providing our security and technology expertise. We can now address the Luxembourg market with a compliant turnkey solution for the custody of digital assets.”
Daniel Soriano, Head of Core Banking Services & Cloud Business, Telindus, noted: “Ledger is a recognized leader in both security and digital asset management. We are happy to partner with them to address a growing demand in the industry: the custody of digital assets.”
March 30, 2021 - Degroof Petercam rolls out a brand new digital infrastructure in partnership with Proximus and its subsidiary Telindus Luxembourg
Degroof Petercam rolls out a brand new digital infrastructure in partnership with Proximus and its subsidiary Telindus Luxembourg
When Degroof Petercam needed to overhaul its IT infrastructure in Belgium and Luxembourg, it turned to Proximus, through Telindus, the Proximus Luxembourg brand catering to the needs of the business market. This IT infrastructure forms the backbone of its digital transformation program.
Mobilizing its teams on both sides of the border, the group engineered the in-depth transformation of its IT environment, while maintaining the same quality of service.
At the end of 2019, the financial group Degroof Petercam embarked on an ambitious program to transform its digital environment: adoption of the cloud, evolution of the application base, exploitation of data and enforcement of security. However, this called for an upgrade of its IT infrastructure, subsequently paving the way for a scalable and sustainable digital environment.
This operation, which lasted 12 months to the day, was totally transparent as regards the teams in Belgium and Luxembourg, allowing them to remain focused on their core business and to maintain an optimal quality of service throughout this period.
The new infrastructure, which meets the highest standards of security and resilience, is the bedrock for the group’s digital transformation.
Thanks to Telindus/Proximus, Degroof Petercam now boasts a stable, state-of-the-art infrastructure and the latest cloud innovations, while relying on 24/7 support teams for the daily management of its IT landscape. As an added bonus, the switch from these old, energy-hungry servers to a state-of-the-art, environmentally optimized external private cloud will allow them to reduce their impact on the environment.
Yvan Pirenne, Group CIO Degroof Petercam: “I am proud of the work accomplished with Proximus, which shares our values of teaming up, innovation and excelling in customer service. More than a client-supplier relationship, we have forged a genuine partnership. Throughout this process, we were able to count on the unfailing commitment of the Proximus teams tasked with the complete migration of several hundred servers and applications to data centers in Luxembourg. Even the health crisis didn’t manage to sway the commitment of the teams to this task,” he continues.
Anne-Sophie Lotgering, Chief Enterprise Market Officer, Proximus: “We are honored by the trust placed in us by Degroof Petercam. Like them, we have our focus set on putting digital technology and innovation at the heart of the company's strategy, at the service of its operations and its customers. This project came to be about much more than IT; it was the human factor that drove our teams. ”
Gérard Hoffmann, CEO, Proximus Luxembourg, concludes: “Despite the current crisis, the collaboration between the Belgian and Luxembourg teams was both exemplary and successful. We are proud to provide the Degroof Petercam group, a benchmark in its sector for 150 years, with the foundations on which to build its digital transformation program, to keep pace with its development. ”
March 29, 2021 - Telindus and KPMG put RPA within reach of all companies
Telindus and KPMG put RPA within reach of all companies
Telindus has partnered with KPMG to offer companies a unique and comprehensive Robotic Process Automation service regardless of their size and level of process maturity.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a particularly valuable approach for anyone taking their first steps towards implementing a digital transformation strategy. It consists of using software - or robots - to carry out tasks previously carried out by humans, and does so more quickly and without discontinuity or errors. Delivered as a service, RPA lives up to its promise of generating results that meet expectations without having to shoulder the burden of governance, risk management, compliance and security constraints.
An end-to-end RPA service
Telindus and KPMG's common goal is to help organizations make a success of the first phase of their digital transformation by empowering them to quickly and efficiently automate their business processes. Within this framework, Telindus provides RPA "as-a-service", i.e. as a complete service that covers infrastructure requirements, configuration, development with the required skills and the underlying technologies needed to execute all from Telindus' data centres. The automated tasks performed by the new digital workforce are implemented at the customer's premises i.e. the robot. KPMG brings its proven skills in strategic consulting to companies on digitalization-related topics and its strong experience in the deployment and implementation of robotic solutions within reach of numerous clients in Luxembourg.
Julien Baudouin, Senior Manager at KPMG Luxembourg, in charge of digital transformation topics explains:
“RPA is often seen as the first step in the intelligent automation of companies. However, we have observed that moving from a few processes in production to a highly automated company can be complicated. Apart from the governance aspects, it is essential to be able to roll out this technology quickly. RPA-As-a-Service generally allows companies to avoid the issues associated with both individual licensing costs and optimization of the allocation of bots, and rather pay for the service based on their real needs.”
This first step towards digitalization allows for significant cost reductions, while raising the level of satisfaction of employees who can focus on exception management and, above all, devote themselves to activities with higher added value. RPA makes it possible to ensure the integrated interoperability of heterogeneous systems (web platforms, file servers, databases, etc.), to extract, compare, manipulate and process all types of technical and financial data, or to complete and send documents automatically.
Virtuous dynamics
The RPA-as-a-Service solution proposed by Telindus has the potential to set in motion a virtuous dynamic of gradual business process automation.
Benoît Delobbe, Head of Business Consulting at Telindus explains the benefits:
"RPA projects often have an accelerating effect and open up many other opportunities. They force customers to take a good look at other processes in order to further optimize efficiencies, cost reductions and to adopt a truly strategic approach to digital transformation. Many business processes can benefit from digitalization and avoid the need for time-consuming but essential patches, adjustments and updates."
3 service models
The Telindus RPA service offer is available in three models. Companies of all sizes can choose the model that fits their specific needs.
Model 1: Allows the solution to be deployed on site, within the company's infrastructure. With the help of KPMG, Telindus carries out the preliminary consultation, supplies and installs the necessary software licenses, takes charge of the development and integration and, finally, trains the users.
Model 2: Hosted in Telindus data centers, it applies to companies whose infrastructures are managed and operated in the Telindus cloud, with the addition of business process automation.
Model 3: RPA-as-a-service solution. This is a hybrid model where the core of the solution runs in the Telindu’s data centers while the robot is deployed in the company’s infrastructure. Telindus provides consultancy services, installs, configures and develops the robot, and opens and secures the network so that the robot can communicate with the data center. With this model, the customer can enjoy uninterrupted management, security and monitoring services without, 24/7.
Philippe Bonbled, Business Consultant at Telindus further explains:
"Telindus thus enables companies that do not have sufficient critical mass to access a turnkey RPA solution that is easy to implement, agile and flexible, enabling them to solve a particular problem and free up time for their teams to devote to higher value-added activities.
Preparing for tomorrow today
The impact that an EPR solution can have on a company's operations and competitive positioning is significant in many ways, from economic value, to benefits in skills and talent management, improvements in quality and control, or agility gains that impact the organization as a whole.
According to Gartner, EPR solutions are playing an increasingly critical role in the digital transformation of companies and the dematerialization of business processes. The firm estimates that the EPR market is expected to grow by 19.5% in 2021, compared to 2020, to reach $2 billion. And despite economic pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic, market growth is expected to remain in double digits at least until 2024[1].
As companies increase the level of automation in their operations, they will continue to improve their experience in this area and new applications for RPA will emerge. This will enable them to make lasting changes and maintain their competitive advantage. In other words, RPA can help companies prepare today to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

March 23, 2021 - Let's IP together: Telindus invites you to explore the wealth of possibilities of Voice over IP
Telindus invites you to explore the wealth of possibilities of Voice over IP
A new chapter in the history of telecommunications. In the coming months the analog and ISDN* telephone connections supporting corporate telephony will have become obsolete. They will be replaced by connections based on digital telephony or SIP telephony**, paving the way for broader access to Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. This transition offers a real opportunity for companies of all sizes to look into the alternatives available on the market.
In Luxembourg, the old system will be completely phased out by 2024. Over the next few months, each company will be informed by its operator when its current service will cease and invited to opt for a new offer.
This transition should be an opportunity to carefully weigh up the offers out there to take advantage of the rich pickings of Voice over IP technology, while guaranteeing cost-effective communications.
“While telephony is a basic, essential need, it is also a critical factor for companies. In these changing times, companies can depend on Telindus, an operator that has its customers’ best interests at heart,” explains Hugues Stiernon Head of Telecom Solutions at Telindus. “By combining our expertise in fixed, mobile and ICT telephony, we can guarantee a comprehensive and tailor-made service. We sit down with each organization to take stock of its communication needs across the board. This means we can guarantee companies seamless availability, facilitate exchanges between them and their customers or suppliers and streamline costs, while ensuring impeccable service to each user when they’re in their offices, out and about or working from home.”
Access to new functionalities
To mention just a few, it is worth highlighting fixed-mobile convergence, which allows users to be reached on their mobile from their fixed numbers and vice versa. In times of home working, this kind of option is highly appreciated by companies and their employees.
If a company has a telephone exchange, SIP connections offer an adjusted number of communication channels with more granularity. If the PBX is reaching the end of its technical lifetime, it may be a good idea to move it to the Telindus cloud and thus manage the addition or deletion of extensions, call forwarding, consumption monitoring, etc., from a simple web interface. “The transition from an analog line to digital technology is an opportunity to take a long, hard look at needs and costs, to ring in changes and take the system to a new level of performance,” points out Hugues Stiernon. “In many cases, it will be possible to reduce the cost of telecommunications per employee. Thanks to the convergence of all communication tools, users will be able to continue to work efficiently using only their PCs and smartphones. ”

March 18, 2021 - CFL puts its digitalization strategy on the right track by deploying Windows 10 with Telindus
CFL puts its digitalization strategy on the right track by deploying Windows 10 with Telindus
Windows 10 is a modern operating system designed to accelerate the digital transformation of organizations of all sizes and types. Suitable for both desktops and laptops, it combines a user-friendly interface with a set of tools to efficiently develop the company's business. CFL brought in the skills and experience of Telindus to help it migrate its workstation fleet to a new Windows 10-based environment.
“This project consisted of migrating a Windows 7 workstation fleet to Windows 10,” explains Jean-Jacques Ourtau, Head of CFL's Digital Workplace unit, “a fleet of nearly 3,000 machines divided fairly evenly between desktops and laptops. This decision stemmed partly from the need to switch to a new operating system and partly from our desire to deploy Office 365 and the associated collaboration and sharing tools.”
“This migration is in fact part of CFL’s strategy to develop digitalization and mobility,” explains Frédéric Perrey, Head of IT Operations at CFL, “a strategy that aims in particular to facilitate access to information for users, wherever they are.”
Specific challenges
However, the migration project entailed a few challenges, including the wide range of sites involved - some 60 in total - and the huge diversity of user profiles: office and field workers, static and mobile users, industrial and administrative profiles. These were exacerbated by the logistical constraints arising from variable working hours and the geographical dispersion of the sites.
“We also needed to be able to count on a partner capable of mastering the complexity of our application park, which comprises 600 different applications,” stresses Frédéric Perrey. "This partner also had to manage the feat of finalizing the deployment of our new environment within six months, while causing as little disruption as possible to users and maintaining the smooth running of the services,” notes Jean-Jacques Ourtau.
Optimal balance between cost, competence and consideration of needs
“Following a public call for tenders, Telindus submitted one of the most competitive financial offers. The approach proposed by Telindus to carry out the migration also proved to be the best one, offering just the right balance between cost, competence and consideration of the needs of the CFL Group,” explains Jean-Jacques Ourtau.
“Faced with the large number of applications involved, Telindus' architects set out to establish a common framework for all users,” adds Frédéric Perrey. “To this common core, they added a series of tailor-made projects, sometimes involving very advanced parameters.”
Telindus provided the CFL Group with not only a technical team - project manager, technical coordinator and technicians - but also a planning manager whose role was crucial in ensuring coordination between all the parties involved in a highly complex environment.
In doing so, the Telindus team was able to meet the deadlines by maintaining a deployment speed of around 20 machines per day throughout the project. Working closely with CFL's Digital Workplace team, Telindus provided a turnkey service, from making an appointment with the user to installing the machine at the user's workplace and setting up back-up solutions.
“When it came time for the migration, each user received a new computer with a performance level at least equal to the one they had,” notes Jean-Jacques Ourtau. “Some users received new equipment, while others were given a machine from the existing fleet and reconditioned by Telindus technicians. To help us manage the change brought about by the switch to Windows 1,” he continues “Telindus set up training and coaching sessions for the 3,000 users involved in the migration.”
A reinforced digitalization strategy
Today, the migration of the CFL workstations to Windows 10 has enabled the company to implement the Digital Workplace concept. The company now has a more modern, high-performance environment, and its digitalization strategy has been strengthened as a result.
The benefits of the new environment - the collaboration tools and the ability for users to access information through different types of platforms - have also enabled each CFL division to cope with the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic
March 10, 2021- Autopolis deploys its new Microsoft 365 environment in Telindus' hybrid cloud
Autopolis deploys its new Microsoft 365 environment in Telindus' hybrid cloud
After being selected at the end of 2019, Autopolis' new collaboration and communication environment entered into an operational phase just as the Covid-19 pandemic was forcing companies to urgently find new ways of operating. Luis Trindade, IT Manager of Autopolis, tells us how its company has taken advantage of the new tools deployed by Telindus to strengthen its resilience, increase its agility and accelerate its transformation.
An obvious choice
“We had a whole range of needs,” explains Luis Trindade. “Every year in October, we present the following year’s projects and budgets to the Autopolis management. Different projects were in the offing for the year 2020, but they were all linked.”
“The first problem we wanted to deal with was the management of the mailboxes in our messaging system, which had really become time-consuming.” The Autopolis IT team had to allocate additional storage space to its messaging system almost every month to cope with the growing number of users and the continuously increasing size of the mailboxes.
“We also wanted to optimize the management of our Microsoft Office licenses and, above all, equip ourselves with a modern collaboration tool, like our car manufacturer partners who were already using videoconferencing tools,” he adds. “In view of these needs, switching to Microsoft 365 seemed to be the obvious choice, and so we presented it to the management team.”
Overcoming the hurdles
“However, we had to overcome quite a few hurdles along the way”, says the Autopolis IT Manager. In the run-up to the migration, Autopolis had to convert its entire computer fleet to Windows 10. But quickly, the challenges became more complex: “We faced problems with the supply of IT equipment”, he says. “And at the same time, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out.”
Given the urgency of the situation, the company quickly activated its hosting in Telindus' U-flex 3.0 cloud environment. As Luis Trindade puts it, “We migrated our mailboxes and upgraded our IT equipment in one go, sometimes remotely, and sometimes on site. At the same time, we had to set up teleworking solutions for our employees.”
Hybrid cloud
“For several years, our infrastructures had been hosted in a private cloud,” recalls the IT Manager. “Switching to a hybrid cloud solution struck us as a natural step towards the smooth transition to the public cloud.” Once again, Microsoft 365 proved to be a wise choice, especially as the IT team needed to migrate its entire MS Exchange messaging system and have a toolkit available to roll out its projects.
An environment up and running from the start of the crisis
“We created a Teams environment as soon as the lockdown came into force, which allowed us to facilitate and improve the internal communication flow,” explains Luis Trindade. Today, the hosting of the new environment in Telindus' hybrid cloud is fully operational and the migration of the mailboxes is complete. “We are still in a learning and training phase,” he says, “but we are using Microsoft 365 tools on a daily basis, including Teams for communication and collaboration and the Stream video service to create multimedia content and train users.”

February 19, 2021 - Telindus Machine Learning-enabled Digital KYC/KYT enhances Client and User Experience
Telindus Machine Learning-enabled DigitalKYC/KYT enhances Client and User Experience
Digital leader's automated identity and transaction verification solution brings easier compliance and increased productivity
The current health crisis forces many businesses to boost their online presence. This combined with the pre-existing trend towards digital transformation, leads to an increased need for faster, better identity and transaction authentication management. To address this challenge, and building on the success of its DigitalKYC product, Telindus has developed a KYT solution that helps to detect fraudulent transactions.
While KYC (Know Your Customer) covers the complete customer profiling, KYT (Know Your Transaction) focusses on data-centric information about the transactions conducted by those customers. The aim of KYT is to identify transactions and their underlying unusual behaviors to detect financial crime, notably money laundering or fraud.
A Machine Learning-fueled KYT solution
Backed by several years of experience and renowned expertise in the field of KYC automation, Telindus has developed a KYT solution that detects anomalies indicating possible fraudulent transactions. In order to increase the efficiency of the rule engine, Telindus incorporated a Machine Learning module into its KYT solution. The ML module contributes to validating the effectiveness of existing rules. Importantly, it also identifies potential new fraud patterns, based on which actualized rules are proposed.
KYT has already been deployed in several major European banks within the context of payment fraud prevention. This is primarily due to the need to mitigate fraud as well as a growing demand on the part of supervisory authorities for reporting, i.e. suspicious transaction reports (STR) and suspicious activity reports (SAR). These reports must be provided fairly soon after a transaction is completed and contain sufficiently clear and full information to allow the regulator to assess the activity flagged, while enabling financial institutions to avoid blocking legitimate transactions.
On the other hand, fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated and creative. For example, fraud rings - organized fraudsters associations that can consist of several teams of criminals - move funds among themselves so as to make fraud detection more difficult. Yet, it is humanly impossible for organisations to monitor the millions of customer transactions performed every day in our increasingly digitalized economy.
Telindus is in the process of delivering KYT and KYT-derived solutions across different clients from various industries in Europe and beyond. That includes - in addition to the financial sector - gaming, e-health, and e-commerce.
Turning Clients into Industry Partners
"DigitalKYC and DigitalKYT turn our clients into true industry partners. This is because our solutions are on one hand highly adaptable to any business model, as verified with different types of client, and very evolutive since they systematically embed the newest technology," says Frank Roessig, Head Cloud Applications, Data & AI at Telindus. "We work in very close collaboration with our clients as part of their digitalization effort," he adds. "By tailoring the solution exactly to their needs and to the needs of their end-users, we make our clients more compliant and more competitive."
"Our purpose is to explore and develop new value by driving use cases with our clients," explains Rebecca Marciano, Digital Business Developer at Telindus. "We want to build the future of KYC and digital identity on the basis of solutions guaranteeing improved service reliability and a fluid customer experience through omni-device and responsive interfaces."
A Relevant Player within a Powerful Group
Telindus is a leader in converged ICT and telecom services in Luxembourg and provides global solutions to all businesses and public administrations. Telindus has extensive experience in working with the financial sector and, as such, is perfectly aware of the KYC and compliance challenges faced by regulated industries. Being itself a regulated entity supervised by the Financial Sector Surveillance Commission in Luxembourg (CSSF), the firm operates its clients' solutions on a highly secure and fully compliant infrastructure.
The Company's approach to Digital Transformation is based on Agile methods for fast time-to-production and easy scalability, and draws on Design Thinking to create client and user-centric solutions.
Telindus is a member of the Proximus Accelerators, expert companies whose combined competencies allow to provide integrated 360° digital solutions covering multiple aspects of the transformation journey such as security, IOT and application integration.
Telindus DigitalKYC
Know Your Customer (KYC) processes provide the backbone of regulatory compliance for financial institutions and an increasing range of non-financial businesses. However, traditional KYC protocols involve a time-consuming practice of information gathering and processing. These labor-intensive processes are resulting in unnecessary costs, numerous errors, and loss of potential new clients.
KYC is a mandatory ongoing process for financial institutions. Furthermore, regulations that require Know Your Customer procedures are currently multiplying at a very rapid pace: PSD, PRIIPS, UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID, to name but a few. Besides this, KYC is becoming an increasingly important activity for many fields that go far beyond finance and insurance, like logistics and transport, online gaming, or e-commerce.
Recognizing that customers expect a better, more user-friendly and less tedious experience, Telindus created DigitalKYC, a KYC lifecycle management solution that not only ensures regulatory compliance, but also optimizes operational efficiency and enhances customer satisfaction.
Telindus DigitalKYC is a tool that inherently ensures regulatory compliance. At the same time, it is a productivity driver as it reduces compliance costs. By lowering manual and redundant work, DigitalKYC also streamlines processes, reduces errors, and increases security. Digital KYC is particularly easy to use and truly drives client satisfaction. Customers can decide to interact online with their service provider through any device. Using DigitalKYC, the workstreams become fast, easy and fluent. And the KYC process becomes more efficient.
Telindus DigitalKYC has already been implemented successfully among various players in the financial sphere (banking, life insurance, fiduciary services, and wealth management) and is also used in other sectors including healthcare, logistics and mobile telephony.
Telindus is currently working on the development of distributed KYC projects, i.e. platforms through which clients only need to upload their KYC information once so that the identification data can be shared among multiple financial services providers without further input from the customer.
January 04, 2021 - Telindus' CSIOC secures the digital transformation of OneLife
Telindus' CSIOC secures the digital transformation of OneLife
Like many industries, the life insurance sector has to adapt to new customer behavior. These new uses illustrate consumer demand for a better experience, delivered through customized and omnichannel offers. To be in a position to roll out new digital tools to its customers and partners, while minimizing the risk, OneLife called on the services of Telindus' Security & Intelligence Operations Center (CSIOC). Nadine Tavolacci, OneLife's IT Security Officer, explains the challenges at stake and how the desired returns were achieved.
“Life insurance companies such as ours handle large amounts of confidential information,” points out Nadine Tavolacci. “This means being in a position to guarantee our customers the integrity, confidentiality, availability and traceability of this sensitive data. On top of that, we have to safeguard OneLife's good reputation on the financial market, along with its brand image.”
An external CSIOC for 360° security
To achieve these goals, OneLife had to put in place the operational capabilities necessary to monitor the flows transiting over the company's networks and issue appropriate and relevant alerts in the event of an incident. “We also wanted to relieve our IT teams of responsibility for incident management and allow them to focus on the company's core business,” says Nadine Tavolacci. “Another consideration was ensuring an uninterrupted security service and the possibility of continuous technology monitoring and advice in specialized areas," she says.
Service performance and quality
“To effectively outsource such critical services, we needed to find a supplier that could guarantee excellent service quality combined with maximum responsiveness,” sums up Nadine Tavolacci. “This provider had to demonstrate the capabilities and adaptability to assess existing security arrangements, get a firm grasp of our environments and put in place the processes necessary to respond appropriately in the event of a security incident,” she stresses.
“In Telindus, we have found a partner that can meet our stringent service performance and quality requirements while respecting our budgetary constraints.”
An in-depth risk analysis
To deliver on the OneLife's expectations, Telindus' cyber security consultants first analyzed the company's entire infrastructure and communications.
They then identified the risk scenarios likely to occur before categorizing potential incidents on the basis of use cases and prioritization. External vulnerability was also analyzed in order to assess the exposure of the company's perimeter infrastructure.
Following this risk analysis and anticipation phase, a rapid escalation mechanism to Telindus' CSIOC team was introduced in order to be able to deal with a major incident, as well as DNS monitoring: typosquatting search, detection of changes in traffic properties, real-time monitoring of compromise indicators.
To validate the defense capabilities of OneLife's infrastructure and communications, the Telindus team scheduled an annual “Red Team” exercise and conducted a phishing test to assess users' exposure to social engineering risk. Finally, it was decided that a cyber security report would be sent to OneLife's IT teams on a monthly basis.
Identifying risks and limiting impacts
“The monthly reports issued by Telindus confirm the appropriate level of security measures put in place,” confirms Nadine Tavolacci. “The security equipment and tools we use have been approved by Telindus. The most critical data is clearly identified and protected with special care. The CSIOC now allows us to identify threats and risks at an early stage and to limit their potential impact,” she continues. "And the advice provided by Telindus allows us to apply patches and updates as and when needed.”
High reactivity
Through Telindus' CSIOC, OneLife now has access to the support of a team of around twenty cyber-security specialists. Based in Luxembourg, this team provides 360° coverage, 24/7, on three levels of expertise. The team draws on the talents of high-level experts capable of analyzing large amounts of information to pinpoint unusual behavior. These feed into new detection scenarios accompanied by a remediation plan adapted to the actual situation.
“The Telindus team is highly responsive,” confirms Nadine Tavolacci. “The cyber-security specialists are ready to intervene at any time to contain and control any incidents that may occur. They help us implement the recommended measures, whether to modify certain configurations, set up a firewall rule or apply security patches.”
Developing a culture of cyber security
“In the broader context of information security management,” adds Nadine Tavolacci, “we apply the best practice recommended by the ISO 27002 standard and our longer-term objective is to implement the requirements of the ISO 27001 certification standard. We regularly organize awareness-raising sessions for our employees on cyber security, as well as on the operational implications of the GDPR. Telindus is a great help to us as we pursue our goals of continuously strengthening our cyber-security capabilities,” she concludes.

March 10,2020- Telindus and Microsoft Teams Direct Routing at the service of the digital transformation of companies
Telindus and Microsoft Teams Direct Routing at the service of the digital transformation of companies
LUXEMBOURG –March 10th, 2020 – Launched in 2017, Microsoft Teams is now the N°1 platform for corporate collaboration and communication. The recent addition of the Direct Routing feature to Microsoft Teams gives Telindus experts the opportunity to summon the full range of their talents, offering companies the perfect synthesis of Telecoms and Collaboration
Microsoft Teams has replaced Skype for Business. In the meantime, the Teams platform has already convinced 500,000 organizations around the world, breaking the record for the fastest growing business application in Microsoft history. There is indeed a real need for companies to have an efficient multi-channel collaboration platform, able to centralize information but also to keep track of all exchanges. At a time when home office and mobility are gaining ground, remote work is becoming more widespread, and newly fragmented teams need to find ways to collaborate despite the physical distance.
For businesses to realize the full potential of their platform, Microsoft relies on partners with multiple skills, like Telindus, able to aggregate the different types of content produced by companies in an integrated collaboration space. Microsoft Teams is a collaborative cloud platform that provides access to all essential corporate features in one single platform: instant messaging, threads, storage and sharing of resources, audio and video calls, meetings, planning and schedules, or working group. With the addition of Direct Routing to Microsoft Teams and by leveraging its own systems integrator and telecom operator activities, Telindus now allows businesses to make and receive calls with their landline phones through the Teams platform, based on their existing equipment.
Telindus leverages its multiple skills to offer businesses an ecosystem of solutions covering a wide range of activities: strong authentication system for mobile devices to control access to data stored in the cloud, training-related recording solution for call centers, or segregation of exchanges between departments to prevent conflicts of interest (ethical wall).
Jacques Ruckert, Director Solutions & Innovation, Telindus: "It is not uncommon for us to encounter totally heterogeneous environments: telephone services with one provider, videoconferencing with another, instant messaging with a third one. This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our creativity and our sense of innovation by interconnecting these components of various origins and, as a result, consolidate the user experience.
Our goal is to make the Microsoft Office 365 platform the ideal tool to help our customers be successful with their digital transformation, from small businesses to large corporations."

October 8th, 2020 - Syncordis, Temenos and Telindus launch a SaaS offering for the banking industry
LUXEMBOURG – October 08th, 2020 – Syncordis, a specialist global implementation services partner in strategic collaboration with Telindus, the award-winning provider of Cloud, ICT and telecom services have selected Temenos’ leading SaaS technology to introduce a Luxembourg-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for private banks.
The Luxembourg-based SaaS solution based on Temenos SaaS Technology offers financial institutions a complete and futureproof “bank in a box”, fully hosted and operated from Luxembourg. The combined expertise of Syncordis and Telindus, with Temenos SaaS technology ensures that this solution meets the regulatory requirements and business needs of the Luxembourgish banking industry while its deployment model streamlines banks’ operational set-up. This model leverages the benefits of SaaS, namely outsourcing IT, as well as generating increased agility, scalability and security.
By design, this offer powered by Temenos SaaS technology integrates organizational and technical capabilities for remote management of the technical and application infrastructure. Security being the central axis of the architecture, all the elements of the chain (laptops, networks, data center) have been designed to guarantee the maximum data integrity of Syncordis’ clients. At the heart of this system, a secure platform requires that all connections to the data center be initiated from Luxembourg, regardless of the consultant’s actual location. All connections are managed by a Privilege Access Management tool which guarantees a permanent, secure and monitored access (via recording of sessions), even in the most exceptional cases.
This regulated and flexible approach enables Syncordis to customize and scale its services to the individual client’s needs, and even operate as an external Business Continuity Center through its PSF.
Guillaume Desjonqueres, CEO, Syncordis said: “Since the years we have observed that banks outsource the implementation and the continued evolution of their information technology systems. Today they are discovering the advantages of cloud-based solutions over traditional on-premise ones. Accelerated deployments, standardization, optimized costs and on-demand scalability associated with cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) operating models, have made them extremely popular with companies looking to enhance business agility and future-proof their business.”
Alain Vansnick, Regional Director, Benelux and Nordics, Temenos added: “We are pleased that Syncordis and Telindus have selected Temenos SaaS technology. Banks are challenged with increasingly complex regulations, demanding customers seeking for new hyper-personalized products, and the rise of new competitors like Big Techs. In this new environment, financial institutions need to rethink their business models and embrace cloud and SaaS technologies to reduce their time to market and operational complexity, as well as elastically scale and deliver outstanding digital customer experiences.”
Jacques Ruckert, Chief Solutions & Innovation Officer, Proximus Luxembourg, completed: “In Luxembourg, financial institutions benefit from a specific legislation applying to service providers that enter into outsourcing arrangements with them. This ensures that service providers are regulated and supervised to the same extent as financial institutions themselves. Telindus, as a regulated service provider, offers state-of-the-art private cloud services to the financial community, ensuring that banks can concentrate on their core business, thus supporting them in their move to a new operating model.”
This unique combination of capabilities and assets in terms of hosting, application management, services and industry expertise offers clients a very attractive alternative to an on-premise deployment with improved levels of security and reliability. Syncordis’ SaaS solution allows its clients to drive their digital transformation journey, to focus on their core business and to optimize their business performance.

November 20th, 2020 – Indigo tasks Telindus with the deployment of its new Microsoft Teams platform
LUXEMBOURG – November 20th, 2020 – Parking network specialist Indigo Park Luxembourg picked Telindus to deploy its new unified collaboration platform. High level of expertise, strong integration capabilities, security culture, and change management: the combination of these success factors convinced Indigo to bring in the leader in convergent ICT and telecom services in Luxembourg.
“We were looking for a technology partner capable of replacing our fixed telephony installation with a VoIP solution coupled with a unified collaboration platform,” explains Jonathan Da Silva, Director of Human Resources and Communication at Indigo Park Luxembourg. “Our objective,” he adds, “was to be able to make telephone calls from a computer to the national and international public network, as well as within the company. We did not have the necessary skills in-house to roll out this type of project.”
An exacting set of specifications
Indigo Luxembourg's specifications required the new solution to be based either on Skype Enterprise or Microsoft Teams, as the Group's head office had already switched to a hybrid Skype Enterprise solution integrating IT equipment, mobile and landline telephony. “Neither our historical landline partner, nor other suppliers contacted were capable of offering an integrated solution on either of these platforms,” explains Jonathan Da Silva. “On the other hand, Tango has been a trusted partner for several years for the management of our mobile fleet. This allowed us to discover the full range of services offered by Telindus, in particular its ability to integrate the IT and telephony components of a solution based on the Microsoft Teams platform,” he adds.
To meet Indigo's needs in full, Telindus designed an integrated collaboration platform based on a methodological approach derived from the telecom operator culture of Proximus Luxembourg, the Telindus and Tango parent company. To match the platform's functionalities with their customer's expectations, Telindus specialists drew up a test book - a roadmap, validated by both parties, listing all the functionalities and expected results - and set up a project governance structure adapted to Indigo’s specific context.
High level of expertise
“Once the test phase was completed, we were able to quickly validate the solution. From then on, the implementation phase went smoothly,” confirms Jonathan Da Silva. "The solution has now been rolled out to all users,” he continues. “Certain complex issues that did not appear at first glance gave rise to intense discussions with the Group's head office in France and with a specialist consultant in Canada. These exchanges only went to demonstrate Telindus’ high level of expertise,” stresses Indigo's HR Director.
Indigo Park Luxembourg now has a solution that pools all the collaboration functionalities it operates within a single tool. In addition to increased mobility for its employees, the company also has the possibility of sharing files in a perfectly secure manner with certain customers, including the City of Luxembourg. Telindus has also taken on the tasks of training users on the new platform, managing the change and promoting best practices. The migration of Indigo Park Luxembourg's Teams solution to the cloud has been successfully completed.
A laboratory for the Indigo Park Group
“After more than a year of research, Telindus has proven to be a partner capable of providing an answer to a very specific problem,” says Jonathan Da Silva. “Indigo Park Luxembourg is the first Group entity to have implemented Teams as a call interface, with France and Canada having deployed Skype. Indigo Park Luxembourg is effectively the Group's laboratory for numerous innovations before any global deployment. Following the successful implementation in Luxembourg, the Indigo Group entities in France, Belgium, Spain and Canada are seriously considering the migration to Microsoft Teams”, he tells us.

Telindus: first Google Cloud partner in Luxembourg offering the full range of Google Cloud Platform products to the Luxembourg market
Luxembourg December 03rd, 2019 – Telindus is proud to announce its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to deliver secure business solutions encompassing the full range of infrastructure and platform as a service products of Google Cloud. Those include Big Data platforms, Data Analytics or Machine Learning services, to name a few, which are offered both fully native and in hybrid mode to the Luxembourg market.
As first Google Cloud partner in Luxembourg, Telindus will address the digital transformation needs of its customers and power comprehensive, integrated and secured solutions that fits the financial sector as well as the industry and public sectors.
“We are very excited about this partnership with Telindus in Luxembourg. There is a very high growth of Cloud services in the European market and partnerships are a key catalyst of this growth. This partnership will help Google accelerate in an important market as Luxembourg,” says Edward Boute, Head of Google Cloud Belux.
With this partnership, Telindus aims at supporting its customers to build innovative ICT infrastructures, which are capable to efficiently transform customer businesses using on-premise and cloud environments. Google is the perfect match for such hybrid deployments since most of its managed products are also released as open-source projects, e.g. Kubernetes. Google cloud even simplifies further hybrid deployments and their management, based on the April 2019-released hybrid Kubernetes platform called Anthos.
In general, Google’s openness allows to control and monitor tightly cloud usage, whilst allowing customers to take leverage of Google’s innovative pace. Google also proposes some interesting tools for big data projects, e.g. BigQuery- as well as the required data processing and analytical tools are exposed to customers to allow them to take leverage of those data storage and processing strengths for their own projects at petabyte-scale...
“We are delighted to make this partnership happen with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of its leading technologies at our customers,” says Jacques Ruckert, Chief Solutions & Innovation Officer at Telindus. “The partnership is already gaining first momentum using key strength of the Google Cloud. Several projects have been meanwhile successfully delivered on top of Google Cloud.”
Artificial Intelligence
Google is well known for its capabilities with regard to artificial intelligence. Therefore, a customer decided to improve its customer support using the chatbot capabilities of Google Cloud called Dialogflow. Using such technology on its webpage will reduce the amount of service requests to be handled manually at the helpdesk and decrease response time to the customer
Software Development in the cloud (CI/CD pipelines)
Telindus is running multiple software development projects using Google Cloud for itself or for its customer projects. Telindus’ flagship fintech application called DigitalKYC is one example of those. For such purposes Google Cloud allows to efficiently manage the end-2-end software development lifecycles, such as software build, release and versioning with strong integration and container based hosting on top of Kubernetes.

June 28th, 2019 - Proximus Luxembourg: a head office in keeping with its ambitions
The new head office of Proximus Luxembourg was officially inaugurated yesterday evening in the presence of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Mrs. Dominique Leroy, CEO of the Proximus Group. This new phase for the company which groups Tango and Telindus under the same banner, marks an important stage in the implementation of a global and ambitious strategy supported by a common corporate culture.
After the merger of Tango and Telindus on 1 January this year, creating the company Proximus Luxembourg, this move to a single site marks a major step in the life of the company, which until then had been divided between Bertrange, Strassen and Esch-sur-Alzette. The new head office of 19,500 m2, of which 10,000 m 2 are offices, is designed to encourage initiatives and team work. It will foster a common culture and the implementation of an ambitious strategy, offering the best expertise of each of the entities on their respective markets. Indeed, by combining Telindus' 40 years and Tango's 20 years of experience, Proximus Luxembourg brings together all assets to offer its customers ever more tailored solutions. Its ambitions? To simplify, connect and secure the daily activities of businesses and residential customers.
"We want to become the number one in Luxembourg in terms of innovation," explained Gérard Hoffmann, CEO of Proximus Luxembourg, in his speech. "Testimony of this are the first 5G connections in Luxembourg, something which we are the first to have accomplished and which is at the heart of the Luxembourg government's strategy. As a leading player on both the ICT and Telecom markets, we want to continue our efforts in accelerating the digitalization of Luxembourg through the development of connectivity, resilient infrastructures and 5G, along with innovative technologies such as Hybrid Cloud, IoT, Fintech, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning".
These are also the ambitions of the parent company, Proximus. The Proximus Group CEO, Dominique Leroy, also on the rostrum during the ceremony, reminded the audience of the strong ties that unite the group with Luxembourg, a dynamic country and a forerunner in many respects. "The inauguration of this building marks the group's commitment to support the development of the sector in Luxembourg. We have already noticed the first positive effects of the merger of Telindus and Tango. Together, we will continue to play a leading role in the digitalization and competitiveness of Luxembourg."
And it is precisely such competitiveness, on a nationwide scale, that was at the center of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel's speech. "It's important to work together to make Luxembourg a Smart Nation. Citizens and companies such as Proximus Luxembourg, together with the government, are working hand in hand to bring this country to the forefront of innovation. We will continue our efforts to ensure that all sections of the population will benefit from this progress. Everyone must have the necessary skills to make the most of these developments. They must become basic skills for technologies that will be part of our day-to-day lives."
About the building
Proximus House accommodates 670 employees on a total surface area of 19,500 m2, of which 10,000 m2 are offices. The spaces have been specially designed to encourage collaboration between employees, while allowing the emergence of a new way of working. The "Flex desk" principle for example, brings employees increased flexibility and mobility by enabling them to sit in teams and by project rather than in predefined spaces. Modular spaces and "silent spaces" have also been set up.
This new building also takes account of the well-being of the employees with, among other things, the establishment of several relaxation spaces (coffee corners, cafeteria, etc.) and informal meeting spaces.
Real initiatives for the environment have also been developed: smart lighting in each office to save energy, automated blinds to favor natural light and better regulate the building's temperature, and a car park that includes spaces dedicated to bicycles to favor soft mobility. In addition, employees are encouraged to do car sharing. From clean desk to paperless policies and recycling encouraged in all work spaces, Proximus House puts the emphasis on environmental friendliness.
The main objective of all these new measures is to allow employees to work more efficiently, whether individually or in a team, because strong ambitions can only be achieved with strong teams.
May 20th, 2019 - 5G: first connections successful in Luxembourg
Tango and Telindus are proud to announce the first 5G connections, performed in Luxembourg on 26 April this year. They thus become the first Luxembourg operators to have connected 5G live on their mobile network. The 5G core network is now operational for future deployments.
Back in 2012, Tango became the first operator to launch the revolutionary 4G in the Grand Duchy. Two years later, the operator again became a trail-blazer on the market by deploying 4G+ in Luxembourg. Today, with the ambition to jointly offer ever more innovative technologies to their customers, Tango and Telindus are proud to announce that the first 5G connections have been accomplished with success.
For this first, conducted in real-life conditions, the technical teams deployed a 5G network in their Bertrange laboratory. They were able to set up a mobile data connection and record 5G download speeds up to 10 times faster than the current average 4G speed. In this process, the teams would like to thank the ILR for having responded positively to their request to temporarily use the 3.6 GHz frequency, thereby offering a real-life environment to try out all the possible uses of this technology. It should be noted that the device used, like the 5G network, was fully compliant with the latest version of the industry standard "Non-Standalone 5G - 3GPP's Release 15", a standard approved in December last year. Once the "Commodo-Incommodo" permit is granted, the technical teams can therefore go ahead and activate sites in the field to perform measurements in outdoor conditions. The equipment is already set up and the only thing missing now is this permit to begin the activation.
These initial connections are the culmination of a long process and major investments started last year involving a complete change to the core network. This infrastructure will now make it possible to add 5G more quickly to the existing 4G mobile network. Moreover, the network already has enough capacity to support 5G speeds when the marketing starts. The first stages of the deployment can therefore begin as soon as the licenses for the frequencies have been granted. The aim is to launch 5G for Tango and Telindus customers in the largest population centers within 12 months from now.
"This inaugural test of 5G is a sign of our commitment to promote innovation and develop the country's competitiveness. Our network is now ready for the 5G deployment phase, which will enable us to offer new possibilities to both our residential and business customers. We are starting this deployment with a view to providing optimal performance and offering our customers 5G within the next 12 months", says Gérard Hoffman, CEO of Proximus Luxembourg.
About the 5G
The 5G network can deliver download speeds of up to 1 Gbps and a latency five times faster compared to 4G. These two assets combined will enable, for example, much more extensive use of virtual and augmented reality. It will also favor the emergence of new technologies: autonomous vehicles, VR cinema and the most immersive video games. In addition, the time required to download an HD film will be considerably reduced and streaming videos will be a much more fluid experience. But the greatest contribution of 5G will be mainly in the BtoB sector. The very low latency of this network will allow much more fluid and accurate remote checks. One can imagine, for example, applications in 4.0 industries, automated industries, with complete and real-time organization of production lines.

March 4th, 2019- Luxembourg Notary Blockchain Kickoff : A first in Europe
The Luxembourg Government IT Centre has implemented a Notary system based on blockchain in view to demonstrate the benefits of this new technology. The system allows registering any kind of document, ensuring its integrity over time, and providing a time stamp for the registration. It is therefore an ideal solution for the notarisation of important documents such as audit logs. This first European Notary system based on blockchain optimizes security and collaboration of notarization processes while reducing costs. There are also other potential applications for this system in other use-cases where the guarantee of immutability of records is required.
The concept and technology have already been presented, in Luxembourg, to the EU Commission, the European Court of Auditors and representatives of 7 EU member states. The next planned step is the launch of a Member States Distributed Ledger Technology Network in order to explore and validate cross border use cases.
In order to maximize security and efficiency, a permissioned chain was used that can be operated on Infrachain certified nodes. Infrachain also provides community-driven governance, which is an essential element of any Blockchain.
As a founding member of Infrachain, Telindus, a Proximus Luxembourg brand, is proud to be at the core of the design, development and deployment of the blockchain-based Notary system. “This is only a starting point and we see many opportunities to enhance how notarization will be done in the future, to the benefit of all stakeholders. We are looking forward to being instrumental for the implementation of new and interoperable notary blockchains for Europe”, says Frank Roessig, FinTech Lead at Telindus.
Infrachain chairman Fabrice Croiseaux adds: “Member States cannot use public blockchains for reasons related to trust in, and accountability of the participants, to operational sustainability or regulatory certainty. Infrachain, through its members, provides a trusted environment for private permissioned Blockchains. We are honored to participate in the launch of a Member States Distributed Ledger Technology Network.”
January 29th, 2019 - The LHoFT Foundation, Deloitte Luxembourg, Temenos, Cisco and Telindus come together to launch FIN5LAB: a platform to drive faster Fintech procurement
Today at the Paris Fintech Forum, Temenos, the world’s leading banking software vendor; Telindus, part of Proximus group, a leading ICT provider in Luxembourg, Cisco, a worldwide leader in IT solutions; Deloitte Luxembourg, one of the Luxembourg’s largest professional services firms, as well as the LHoFT Foundation, together are launching the FIN5LAB: a due diligence, connectivity and testing platform to help the financial services industry in its’ efforts to work more effectively with Fintech firms.
FIN5LAB aims to create a trusted standard for pre-evaluation of solutions enabling financial institutions to skip or at least shortcut elements of their procurement process. The platform is designed to facilitate access, lower costs, deliver more efficiency, and lower risk for institutions, while expediting the implementation of solutions.
According to research from Temenos, the procurement process at financial institutions, particularly banks, can take up to 18 months with a further 18 months of integration effort before a Fintech solution can go live. The unwieldy processes and sales cycle creates significant issues for Fintech firms in relation to cash flow, resource allocation and growth, as well as putting financial institutions at a competitive disadvantage to others that are finding ways to speed to up their procurement process and are becoming more agile.
Ben Robinson, Chief Strategy Officer at Temenos states: “This joint certification service greatly boosts our MarketPlace value proposition by giving clients additional assurance over the curation and integration work we do and as such we hope that it will accelerate the exchange of value between banks and fintechs.”
“We are convinced that the development of a secure agile testing platform for start-ups and larger organizations will lead to a faster adoption of innovative solutions, thus generating a new dynamic in the financial sector“, says Jacques Ruckert, Director, Solutions & Innovation at Telindus.
FIN5LAB is a dedicated sandbox for Fintech solutions to connect to the Temenos core banking system. The infrastructure will soon be made available in a regulated and secure environment hosted by Telindus in Luxembourg utilizing Cisco servers’ technology to meet the specific outsourcing needs of financial institutions.
“We are proud to provide our technology and expertise to give fintech start-ups an easier take-off in Luxembourg. Cisco will provide highly secure systems and software to help them connect more easily to the financial market, accelerate deployment of their fintech software, all whilst reducing cyber risks. Fintech is one of the four pillars of our 3-year Country Digitization Programme that Cisco has undertaken to support Luxembourg”, says Romain Siebenaler, Country Manager Luxembourg for Cisco.
Deloitte Luxembourg will offer a variety of due diligence checks, which can be requested by the Fintech and / or institutional customers and deliver a report on the solution. The options can vary from a simple diligence questionnaire to full scale testing on the connectivity, robustness, scalability and security of the Fintech solution connected to the FIN5LAB environment.
“Deloitte is convinced that the Fin5Lab will benefit both Fintech startups and incumbent financial institutions. Our due diligence will allow Fintechs to demonstrate the technological validity of their solution and thus reduce the integration risk for financial institutions”, says Patrick Laurent, Technology & Innovation Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.
“We have brought together a fantastic group of leading companies to help solve a critical issue in financial services; the inefficient and costly process of procuring new technology. We aim to help both Fintech firms and their institutional clients to optimise the process of implementing new Fintech services”, says Nasir Zubairi, CEO of the LHoFT.
The FIN5LAB is now operating its first pilot projects and it is expected to be fully operational by the start of March this year.

2018
13 August 2018 - The EIB Blockchain Challenge: 48 hours of diving into the future of digital finance
The EIB Blockchain Challenge: 48 hours of diving into the future of digital finance
· 56 coders from 15 countries in 12 teams took up the challenge: an innovative blockchain event set up for the first time at the EIB’s headquarters in Luxembourg
· The 48-hour challenge: to use blockchain technologies to redesign the transaction processing of commercial paper
· A reward of EUR 5 000 and a contract with the EIB for the winners – the EY team – to develop its POC (proof of concept)
Building on their partnership and common conviction that blockchain will profoundly impact all industries including the financial sector, the European Investment Bank (EIB) – the financing institution of the European Union – together with Telindus (digital expert and provider of ICT, fintech and telecom solutions and services) for technical support, held a two-day Blockchain Challenge gathering 56 coders (12 teams) from 15 countries at its Luxembourg headquarters. The exercise was the first of its kind for the EIB and for the treasurers and representatives of more than 20 financial institutions which joined the event to interact with the coders while holding their annual forum – this year on the topic of … blockchain.
Is blockchain a new fashion or a real disruption, an evolution or a revolution in the way the banking industry operates? What are the challenges at stake for the regulators, the infrastructure, the industry and the employees? The European Investment Bank, a strong supporter of innovation, addressed these themes over two days, combining a hard challenge for the coders with its annual conference for European bankers dedicated to treasury issues.
During his opening speech of the EIB Blockchain Challenge, Pierre Gramegna, Luxembourg Minister of Finance stated: “The perfect traceability that lies at the heart of the Blockchain technology has many potential use cases for the financial center that go beyond cryptocurrencies. In this regard, I welcome the fact that the EIB is launching the first Blockchain Challenge here in Luxembourg, one of the leading European Fintech hubs, in order to develop new smart solutions that will be beneficial for financial institutions and help push Fintech innovation in the EU.
EIB Vice-President Alexander Stubb said: “We are at the beginning of a new era and blockchain will be a game changer. There will be major gains from the use of new technologies such as blockchain, generated from the simplification and streamlining of existing financial processes. The new perspectives opened up by digitalisation and Distributed Ledger Technology must be assessed and we must all be ready to make use of them and embark on this new venture. As the EU’s financial arm, we decided to be on the active side, learn by experience and make things happen, to be a facilitator and join with our banking partners to pave the way for tomorrow’s financial industry.”
The coders’ challenge was how to use blockchain technologies to revolutionise the transaction processing of commercial papers.
The EIB had invited its 25 main counterparties in the banking sector to its annual forum dedicated to treasury issues with a specific objective this year: to find out what blockchain is and what it can bring to their business. While the conference was running, the coders were in the adjacent room with a 48-hour challenge: using blockchain technologies to improve the transaction process of commercial paper - a short-term financing instrument (debt securities issued on the money market) that is used worldwide in treasury operations and still relies on an ‘archaic’ and complex process.
For the EIB, the challenge was to explore the potential of blockchain for such an instrument and demonstrate to the participants of the seminars the potential benefits of blockchain technology for their own activity. The bankers, treasurers and lawyers participated in regular exchanges with the coders, providing expert information on the financial processes. According to the coders, that was key to the success of the challenge and made it a unique event.
As the challenge was taking place at the EIB’s headquarters, Telindus provided the coders with secured connectivity segregated from the EIB’s network to ensure the smooth running of the competition. Telindus is a provider of innovative digital solutions, including blockchain and KYC technologies. To create a 360° digital experience, they all registered through the Telindus digital KYC portal, a trusted onboarding digital platform, allowing verification of their identities before the competition could take place.
In the pitching session, the EY team won the contest with an innovative solution to improve transactions using a combination of blockchain, robotics and business artificial intelligence tools to optimise the issuance process and reduce the number of exchanges between the EIB and its counterparties while maintaining each one’s role within the ecosystem.
The EY team won a EUR 5 000 cash prize and a contract with the EIB to further develop its solution into a proof of concept.
“At Telindus, we strongly believe that blockchain technology will, invisibly and in combination with other innovative technologies, have a significant impact on operational efficiency, as well as on user experience, in the Financial Sector and beyond,” explained Frank Roessig, Head of Digital Finance Solutions at Telindus and Master of Ceremonies for the event. “We work in a flexible manner with our partners with a view to applying value-generating blockchain solutions, and have thereby achieved the implementation of an operating notarisation chain plus the development of other chains, like for example Asset Transactions & Reconciliation, KYC and shared Power of Signatures,” he continued.

LUXEMBOURG –October 24 October 2018 – Telindus Luxembourg, an ICT & Telecom expert serving businesses, offers an agile and flexible cloud platform based on Microsoft Azure Stack technologies and HPE equipment.
Hosted in Luxembourg in a highly secured environment, this platform meets the agility, simplicity and optimisation needs of companies wishing to boost their business.
Make global technology a local opportunity
“Many of our customers wish to have an I.T. platform in self-service, on-demand and self-scaling mode based in Luxembourg. Many of their teams – from business analysis to development teams – need to be able to temporarily and quickly access on-demand computing resources. New business models can be implemented when these teams can access flexible resources and get much quicker and less costly results. By way of example, real-time ˋBig Data’ data analysis using high computing power, available on demand, based on Hadoop, is a case of concrete application”, explains Thomas Scherer, Chief Architect at Telindus.
Azure Stack’s uniform and universal deployment features combined with Telindus’ experience meet companies’ specific requirements, regardless of their business sector. Azure Stack is available as a service from Telindus’ datacenters.
In addition to the integration of Telindus’ cloud solutions, companies rely on its consulting and implementation services for the deployment of multi-cloud environments. This approach allows them to identify the most suitable application areas and to choose the degree of hybridization that suits them by combining private and public clouds and traditional IT.

Cybersecurity: a strategic priority for Telindus
By electing Telindus "Security Provider of the Year", the jury of the Luxembourg ICT Awards has expressed its willingness to recognize and reward a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity drawing on the benefits of a strong Cyber Security & Intelligence Operation Center (CSIOC) and a seasoned Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
Building on its ISO 27001 certified Cloud and Managed services and on its security department staffed by more than 55 highly skilled and certified experts, Telindus Luxembourg has developed a holistic approach to information security founded on the four pillars of security strategy definition, implementation, monitoring and validation, and awareness promotion.

The Digital Tech Fund, in which Proximus invests, aims to finance technology start-ups in the Luxembourg ICT sector
On 12 April 2016, Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy Étienne Schneider presented a start-up fund set up by the Luxembourg government in partnership with a group of private investors, including Proximus, in order to support the financing and development of start-ups active in the field of ICT, which is considered a key sector of the national economic diversification in Luxembourg.
The fund, called the "Digital Tech Fund", was launched at the initiative of the Minister of the Economy as part of the "Digital Lëtzebuerg" program. It will acquire holdings in innovative companies created less than seven years ago and which develop products that, preferably, already exist in the form of a functional prototype. The fund aims, above all but not only, to make risk- capital investments in fields such as cyber security, FinTech, Big Data, Digital Health, media, and next-generation communication networks, digital learning, the Internet of Things, telecommunications, and satellite services.
Set up according to the principle of "evergreen funds", the Digital Tech Fund will also aim to facilitate the transfer of new technologies from publicly funded research, particularly the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) of the University of Luxembourg, with which a partnership is being formed to support the creation of the spin-off.
The Digital Tech Fund, which will start operating in May 2016, will be managed by Expon Capital S.A.R.L., which has proven experience in the management of funds. Given that it was developed within the framework of a public-private partnership, the fund's other stakeholders are (in alphabetical order): Arendt & Medernach, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg SA (BIL), Expon Capital, High Capital (BHS Services), POST Capital, Proximus, and SES.
Through the Digital Tech Fund, Proximus wants to support innovative Luxembourg start-ups, reaffirming its commitment to the Luxembourg market with its subsidiaries Tango and Telindus Luxembourg.
As a reminder, Proximus also invests in Belgian start-ups active in the field of new technologies, such as Tessares, a spin-off created with the Catholic University of Louvain la Neuve (UCL) to optimize Internet connection capacity through fixed-mobile aggregation, or Awingu, which has developed a web platform that makes it possible to integrate a company’s applications on any device. Proximus is also involved in Eggsplore, an incubator that works on smartfin technologies in order to promote them internationally.

19 November 2015 - Telindus Luxembourg-Cisco: a winning partnership for customers
After having announced its partnership with Cisco for the launch of Telindus Telecom U-touch, a unified communications and collaboration offer on demand, based on the Cisco HCS solution, Telindus Luxembourg has been recognised “Partner of the Year” for Luxembourg during the 2015 ceremony of the “Partner Awards”.
During the ceremony, Cisco rewarded Telindus for its business performance and the quality of its customer services on the Luxembourg market.
Telindus is, indeed, the only player on the market to have built its cloud on Cisco technologies, the global ICT leader, to propose its Infrastructure and Communication solutions in an ‘as-a-service’ mode (IaaS and UCaaS).
This award also highlights one of the most important projects in the history of Telindus Luxembourg: its privileged partnership with Innovative Solutions for Finance (IS4F) to operate telecommunications services and data storage services of the institutions that emerged from the former Dexia group. Some very big names of the international financial sector have thus been migrated to the HCS platform and have benefited from a unique service in Luxembourg. Among others, Belfius Insurance (Cisco telephony environment) and soon Banque Internationale in Luxembourg (BIL).
Together with Cisco, Telindus has the necessary critical mass to offer Luxembourgish medium-size and large companies to benefit from the largest unified communication platform in Luxembourg.
Telindus Telecom U-touch is a dematerialised solution for telephony and video communication, integrated communications and contact centres. The virtualised application is fully modular according to the users’ need.
An optimal collaboration, the key success factor for the companies
“Collaboration cannot be thought in a single and uniform approach. Some customers need video communications while others prefer to rely on the contact centres module. That is why Telindus splits its offer in different formulas, which enables companies to be even more responsive, agile and innovative”, says Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman & Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg. Telindus Telecom U-touch is a communication services menu provided entirely in an ‘as-a-service’ mode. Users always have access to the required functions: in the office, while traveling or at home.”
Telindus has integrated the unified communications in an ‘as-a-service’ model, in which the customers pay per user. There are therefore no more specific licence costs for the licence nor for additional material installation costs for the customers, but an invoice that varies each month depending on the pace of the user growth.
Telindus Telecom U-touch allows companies to benefit from many advantages through a successful combination of these advanced collaboration tools, delivered by a powerful Cloud platform:
A 24/7 support: the technical support team is available at any time. The updates are managed centrally, in the Cloud.
A solution based on the latest technologies and integrating the current economic parameters perfectly.
Scalability: the number of users can be increased or reduced easily and quickly.
Easy to use: a catalogue of collaboration services such as instant and unified messaging, video conferencing in HD, meeting applications (WebEx or Collaboration Meeting Room) and desktop and application sharing, on a single and even secure platform.
Availability: Telindus operates in two datacentres in Luxembourg, thus allowing data continuity.
“Thanks to Telindus Telecom U-touch, customers now benefit from a communication application that combines flexibility and quality, and is easy to configure following users’ needs. A modular offer is also, a very interesting solution from a financial point of view”, says Pol Vanbiervliet, Managing Director Belux of Cisco. “In a booming market of Cloud integrated communication, Telindus Telecom U-touch impresses with its unique flexibility”.

“The innovation of U-select lies in the fact that this solution goes beyond the IT-centred automation by offering a user-oriented approach. We believe this methodology is unique on the market, as the cloud resources are provisioned automatically according to the user needs. This allows large companies, with hundreds or even thousands of employees, to manage their IT applications automatically in the cloud.” says Jacques Ruckert, Director Products & Solutions.

Confirmed growth supported by a managed services contract, which is one of the most important projects in the history of Telindus
Telindus, subsidiary of the Belgacom Group in Luxembourg, completed an outstanding year 2014 with an overall growth of more than 37% of its turnover.
The strength of these operational performances resulted mainly from the services agreement signed with Innovative Solutions for Finance (IS4F), which serves the institutions that emerged from the former Dexia group.
Through the operational management of international entities, this agreement positions Telindus as a key player in the field of managed services with a critical mass that allows it to industrialise its offer and strengthen its teams of 400 well trained experts. Building on this experience, Telindus can thus transpose its skills to other customers of the finance & insurance and public services sectors.
Telindus grows steadily on the cloud and telecom market
This significant growth is also due to the consolidation of the historical integrator business on one hand, and, to the increased integration of the Telindus cloud and telecom services, on the other hand.
The results become visible, as more and more SMEs, large companies and innovative start-ups rely on Telindus to assist them in their digital transformation. By offering the best of both worlds, cloud and telecom activities were able to record a sustained growth of their customer base of more than 32%.
For Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman & Managing director of Telindus Luxembourg, “It is always good to see our strategic decisions approved by the market. At present, in order to remain a forerunner and meet our customers’ new challenges, we will pursue our investment strategy and enhance the development of our managed services.”

15 December 2014 - Telindus wins the award for the best relationship with its customers 2014
Luxembourg, December 16, 2014 – Telindus is proud to announce that it has been elected as "Great Company to Work with" 2014 by a jury of 50 CIOs from the industrial, financial, services, construction, trade, transports, logistics and public sectors.
The IT One Gala 2014, which took place on December 9th at the New Conference Centre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, culminated in the Luxembourg ICT Awards after a dinner attended by more than 650 professionals of the ICT sector.
The “Great Company to Work with” award rewards the company that has excelled both by the quality of its customer relationship as by the quality of the proposed services. This is a major distinction aimed at rewarding the company with which it is good to work.
“This prize was created at the initiative of the CIOs so as to reward the company with which they like to work the most. In addition to the winner’s high quality technical solutions, it is mainly its mind-set, its initiatives and the imported overall working atmosphere that are praised. The CIOs were asked to choose their top 3 among the ICT companies with which they appreciate working.” Kamel Amroune, Managing Director, ITOne.
“We are extremely proud of this award, which not only rewards our permanent efforts in developing innovative services in line with our customers’ needs, but also praises the human support of our experts.” says Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman and Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg. “Our key differentiator is a matter of skills and therefore of people. Our consultants are highly qualified profiles from the best courses. We have built our abilities on this basis over many years. This does not just happen. To maintain our qualifications, we have constructed an entire culture which allows our employees to form, develop and hence have a key role in the anticipation of our customers’ problems. We are delighted to see that, through this award, the local decision makers affirm their satisfaction in working with us both because of our advanced technical solutions and because of the expertise, flexibility and availability of our teams”, he concludes.
3 December 2014 - Telindus and Hitachi Data Systems : partners in tackling the Big Data challenges
Telindus has just signed a strategic partnership with Hitachi Data Systems, a key player in the storage industry with more than one billion invested in Research and Development annually. This alliance will allow market players to address their Big Data issues to nearby experts who understand their business needs.
Businesses need a partner who, through the management and enhancement of their data, exploits the full potential and exponential opportunities of ‘Big Data’ (e.g. the explosion of the non-structured and heterogeneous dynamic data volume).
This partnership arose from the need in Luxembourg to expand the offer by providing customers with more flexible and less costly solutions. Governance, security and confidentiality are all guarantees provided by Telindus-Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) to companies, so as to enhance their massive data volume.
“It is all about responding to the businesses’ growing needs to develop and secure their data. We have chosen HDS essentially for its knowledge in business needs and for its company spirit, which is entirely focused on innovation. Its competitive advantage lies in information governance, availability, flexibility, responsiveness and data security” declares Christian Haux, Sales and Marketing Director at Telindus Luxembourg.
“Telindus, with its expertise as a unique innovating integrator in Luxembourg since 35 years, is the preferred partner. Compliance can be a concern for large groups and that is why we need to respond to their request with a reassuring market player, a leader in ICT services. With Telindus, which has the needed experience and skills to manage the businesses’ most important and more complex projects, I am certain that we will be the winning alternative the market expects” concludes Philippe Janssens, Country Manager Belgium & Luxembourg, Hitachi Data Systems.
26 November 2014 - Telindus Telecom strengthens the security of its operator network and cloud services with ADVA Optical Networking
Telindus Telecom has deployed the ADVA FSP 3000, a scalable optical transport solution with advanced encryption technology, to ensure the security of its cloud services. ADVA Optical Networking is the European leader for connectivity solutions that support cloud and mobile services. It offers innovative solutions that are easy to integrate into datacenter environments and meet the most demanding users’ expectations in terms of performance (latency, security, scalability ...) and cost reduction. Telindus Telecom’s cloud infrastructure is focused on serving Luxembourg’s enterprise market with high requirements regarding security and confidentiality. Hence it is imperative that it features the most robust protection possible. ADVA Optical Networking’s encryption technology will safeguard all data as it travels between Telindus Telecom’s multiple datacenter locations and ensures continuous access to mission-critical cloud-based business services.
“The security and availability of our customers’ data have always been of paramount importance to us and a top priority in our solution design,” said Jacques Ruckert, Director Products and Solutions, Telindus Luxembourg. “With the rapid migration of our customers to cloud-based services, security and availability become even more critical. That is why we are working with the ADVA Optical Networking team: their solutions are widely adopted for their encryption capabilities, especially within the enterprise community. Protecting our customers’ mission-critical data with ADVA technology provides peace of mind and the guarantees that their data is safe and secure in the cloud.”
Ensuring the security of data in cloud infrastructures has been a focus of ADVA Optical Networking for many years. Its encryption technology is engineered to suit the needs of a broad range of enterprise demands. Its protocol agnostic design enables it to transport any traffic, including Fibre Channel, InfiniBand and Ethernet. It encrypts every bit of data that passes through a client port, not just the payload or select bytes, and does so at the lowest network layer. It also adds very little latency, something that cannot be said for higher-layer encryption methods. For Telindus Telecom and its customers, the ADVA Optical Networking solution is not only a secure means of data transport, it’s also a competitive edge.
“Telindus Telecom has an enviable reputation when it comes to cloud-based services. It has won numerous awards and accolades for its offerings. Telindus Telecom was the only one in Luxembourg to join the top 3 of the best European Eurocloud players for the quality of its offer” commented Yann Evain, Sales Director, ADVA Optical Networking. “This success is one of the key reasons that it continually needs to advance, to push the boundaries of its network and its customers’ expectations. That is why our ADVA FSP 3000 with encryption technology is such a good match. It not only meets its network needs today, but also tomorrow, especially when it begins the migration to 100Gbit/s data rates and 16Gbit/s Fibre Channel. As the unique selected member of our Partner Ecosphere Program in Luxembourg, Telindus Telecom’s network will be regularly audited and improved to boost its performance. It will hence increase the quality of service offered to its customers with unique solutions in Luxembourg (such as encryption on cloud services). Our team is looking forward to helping Telindus Telecom with this journey.”

10 July 2014 - Underway to crossing the 100 million turnover milestone in 2014, Telindus confirms its growth and asserts its leadership in IT outsourcing and the cloud.
From 75 to 80 million euros in 2013 and from 80 to more than 100 million in 2014, Telindus’ growth is accelerating with unprecedented perspectives. Thanks to the continuous development of its infrastructures and operator services, Telindus imposes itself on its markets as the key partner for a global outsourcing, telecom and cloud solution. The growth in 2013 and 2014 is underpinned by the service agreement awarded by Innovative Solutions for Finance (IS4F), which in turn serves the institutions which emerged from the former Dexia group.
Luxembourg, July 10th, 2014
An ambitious vision that bears its fruits.
After the opening of the telecommunications market and the creation of LuxConnect, Telindus has taken an ambitious strategic shift by becoming a telecom operator.
The strategy is to respond to the enterprise market’s needs for global outsourcing, telecom and cloud solutions. Telindus is currently the only service provider who offers a complete alternative solution to the historical operator.
According to Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman and Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg, “the quality of the infrastructures and services we offer both our local and international clients, is a source of triple added value for them: Telindus simplifies their lives, makes them more efficient and increases their competitiveness”.
With about sixty additional clients in the operator branch and a turnover growth of 7,8% in 2013, Telindus passes the 80 million euros bar. The company confirms its rank and affirms itself as a major contributor to the economic development of the sector and the positioning of Luxembourg on an international scale. In 2014 the milestone of 100 million euros turnover will be reached.
An organic growth underpinned by outsourcing agreements with key players in the financial market.
Telindus’ strategy has enabled it to sustain a significant organic growth, in particular through major outsourcing projects with local and international customers from the financial sector.
Among these, a global leader in insurance and the privileged partnership for the next seven years with IS4F which means an exceptional expansion potential for the company. Signed end 2013, this project is the most important agreement for telecommunication services and data storage in the entire history of Telindus Luxembourg. Among IS4F’s clients there are such prestigious Belgian and Luxembourgish financial institutions as the International Bank in Luxembourg (BIL) or the Belfius Bank in Belgium.
Unprecedented expansion prospects.
If the results were excellent in 2013, that does not mean that Telindus rests on its laurels. The development prospects being at their best, the objectives for 2014 and beyond are ambitious. The symbolic threshold of 100 million euros will be passed this year. To reach it, Telindus therefore continues to focus on investment, on the strengthening of technological partnerships with global ICT leaders and the recruitment of new employees. In fact, within 18 months, Telindus has recruited more than 100 persons and will thus reach a new record, that of 400 employees.
The company intends to pursue its ambitious plan for the development of telecom infrastructures and the deployment of new innovative services. It aims to become a strong pole of the Belgacom Group, to provide Unified Communications and in the Cloud “managed security” services for the Belgian and Luxembourgish market.

In fact, we realise these agreements so as to meet our customers’ increasing needs to expand our offer beyond the Grand-Duchy. 24 February 2014 - Wallenborn selects Telindus Telecom as Preferred partner for its Cloud Computing and Connectivity
Luxembourg, February 24, 2014– Telindus Luxembourg is proud to announce its partnership with Wallenborn, a key player in the world of transportation in Europe, Scandinavia, and recently also in the Gulf States. Responsivness of Telindus teams and its “end-to-end” solution have greatly influenced the choice of Wallenborn.
Specialized in air freight, in high value and conventional cargo, the company has extended its expertise to the Cold Chain sector and more particularly to the transportation of pharmaceuticals under controlled temperatures, and has obtained a GDP certification (Good Distribution Practices). In addition to this innovation, Wallenborn applies monitoring and geofencing technologies allowing a surveillance team to follow the vehicle fleet in real time 24h/24 and receive alerts in case of route and time deviations, temperature excursion or opening doors. These innovations and certifications require working with a solid IT and connectivity provider that facilitates and enhances technology convergence and customer interface.
Having already experimented cloud computing with two different providers, the challenge for Wallenborn was to trust a unique partner for outsourcing as well as connectivity and ICT resources. With the evolution of the market and of Wallenborn’s ambitions, a reliable IT solution was needed. The priority was to find a supplier able to provide the needed security and a 24/7 support. Moreover, the challenge also demanded the transfer from two partners to a single one. Telindus rapidly established itself as THE only one capable of responding to Wallenborn’s Cloud and Connectivity needs.
Telindus responded to the challenge by setting up a global Cloud and connectivity solution, both nationally and internationally. Wallenborn’s entire IT infrastructure is now managed in Telindus Telecom-s “U-flex” Cloud and benefits from a 24h/24 accessible service desk. If the transfer of the IT environment to Telindus was a sensitive step in the data migration, this operation could take place efficiently with full respect of the imposed deadlines and a near-instant information changeover, without impact on the employees’ activity.
Wallenborn today achieved improvements in flexibility and cost optimization, which allows the development of new markets through a real added value. The company can count on a reliable and responsive partner now has a single point of contact and a stable environment.
“The entire IT branch has been entrusted to Telindus, who is one of the most reliable partners providing a 24h/24 monitoring of our data and who has all necessary certifications to reassure our customers˝ explained Paul Salhani, Chief Financial Officer de Wallenborn.
“We are extremely pleased by this partnership because the transaction allowed Wallenborn to focus all its energy and skills on its core business, keep innovating and thus obtain new certification levels”, said Franciane Gazzini, Account Manager chez Telindus.
About Wallenborn
The Wallenborn company was created in 1920. It has about 500 employees in Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East and owns a fleet of more than 350 TSR (Trucking Security Requirements) certified trucks. Wallenborn has a TAPA TSR certification at levels 1, 2 and 3 and also AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) and GDP certifications.

Many Telindus employees are already deployed on this large project, the aim being to leverage expertise and skills to meet the client’s expectations.
Moreover, so as to compensate the mobility of resources required by the project, a recruitment programme has been developed and will soon welcome new employees.
Together with the staff actually in place at IS4F in charge of the telecommunications and storage areas, we will deliver the expected services.
“I am deeply convinced that positive synergies will grow from this collaboration, in order to carry out the important mission we’ve been entrusted with”, adds Gérard Hoffmann.
Alongside the human resources development and financial opportunities, several technical challenges are emerging. This historical project will include several phases, the aim being that the clients benefit from optimised environments and costs as well as increased performances at the end of the first transformation phase.
“We are engaged in a very high quality services delivery agreement and as such, the whole of Telindus is mobilised to contribute so as to make this project a success throughout its duration”, concludes Gérard Hoffmann.

19 November 2013 - Telindus Telecom strengthens the cyber-security of its operator network against hacker attacks
Telindus Telecom deployed Alcatel-Lucent’s Integrated DDoS Solution to protect services and customers from an increasing number of ‘denial of service’ attacks
Luxembourg, November 19, 2013 – Telindus Telecom, the first global alternative operator in Luxembourg, has successfully deployed cyber-security technology from Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext and NYSE: ALU) designed to protect against the growing threat from ‘distributed denial of service’ (DDoS) attacks.
During such attacks, hackers seek to overwhelm cloud and network infrastructures with huge volumes of traffic. Alcatel-Lucent’s solution – jointly developed with Arbor Networks, a leader in network monitoring and security solutions, and comprising Alcatel-Lucent’s IP routers and Arbor’s Threat Management System - enables Telindus to intercept and eliminate DDoS traffic at the ‘edge’ of its network, before it reaches critical infrastructure or its enterprise customers.
Key Facts:
Securing the network and delivering ‘clean’ Internet services at high scale has become a critical element of a carrier cloud strategy at a time when DDoS attacks against customers are a top concern for service providers and customers, alike.
Arbor’s TMS software, integrated with Alcatel-Lucent’s IP routers, deployed at the Internet peering points, dramatically reduces the impact of such attacks.
Alcatel-Lucent and Arbor Networks combined solution allows service providers to deliver DDoS protection as a service from the same platform as virtual private network (VPN) and business Internet services, with minimal incremental investment.
As part of The Shift Plan Alcatel-Lucent is developing its activities in the cyber-security segment, as the company increases its overall specialist focus on IP Networking and Ultra-Broadband Access.
“DDoS has emerged as an incredibly resilient and innovative attack vector. A cloud-based service to handle DDoS attacks is a highly valued service differentiator because many businesses do not have the skill-set or resources to keep up with this rapidly escalating threat on their own.” said Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman & Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg.
“Denial of service attacks are a serious concern and have the potential to bring down Internet Data Centers as well as large business or government networks for significant periods of time, which obviously has a detrimental impact on productivity and delivery of services. The faster we can identify and isolate the problem, the sooner everyone can get back to their business. By building Arbor’s TMS into our service routers, we’re essentially moving the defensive perimeter out to the ‘edge’ of the provider’s network – in effect stopping the criminals at the border before they can infiltrate enterprise premises, or damage the provider’s network. ” said Luis Martinez Amago, President of Alcatel-Lucent’s EMEA region.
“DDoS attacks are getting much more complex, aided in large part by readily available tools and inexpensive services that are in the business of launching attacks. Attacks are also getting larger both at the high end, and on average. The more providers can do to layer protections and move mitigation to the edge of their infrastructure, the better it is for everyone.” said Colin Doherty, President of Arbor Networks.

23 April 2013 - Cactus has chosen Telindus Telecom for the interconnection of its datacenters
Telindus has been chosen by Cactus, 3rd largest private employer in Luxembourg and reiterates its confidence in the solutions proposed by Telindus Telecom.
Nowadays, Cactus consists of 2 hypermarkets, 11 supermarkets, 6 Cactus market convenience stores, 2 Cactus Hobbi and 18 Cactus Shoppi grocery stores, a catering branch, a catering service and a major food products factory. This vast production and points of sales network needs to be interconnected by an innovative and reliable technology, which addresses the permanent concern for service quality for its customers and employees, and minimizes the impacts of a service interruption.
The challenge for Cactus consisted in the creation of a second redundant infrastructure system on a remote site. The two datacenters, one in Bertrange and the other one in Windhof’s new buildings, are at the heart of Cactus’ network. For obvious security and 24h/24 on 7d/7 service continuity reasons, their interconnection must be realized via two entirely distinct paths. The diversity of the group’s activities, from the production to the sale in stores, also imposes a particularly ambitious “Recovery Point Objective“ (RPO) and “Recovery Time Objective” (RTO).
Telindus’ solution consists in a combination of integrator and operator services. This solution integrates the passive Optic Fiber furnished by Cactus on one hand, and Telindus Telecom’s network on the other. The whole, activated by ADVA Optical Networking branded equipment, is supervised and run by Telindus Telecom teams, thus offering Cactus service qualities and a unique Service Level Agreement (SLA). Today, Cactus benefits from a flexible solution that ensures an efficient cost control, which is scalable, highly secure and perfectly integrated in the existing environment. The advantage of a single point of contact for all components and services necessary to the Ethernet and Fiber Channel services, including the group’s passive Optic Fiber, offers Cactus complete peace of mind and guaranteed associated services. This new connectivity service now operates as an extension of the outsourcing services already provided by the same Telindus division.
“Telindus has managed to distinguish itself by a powerful solution, particularly by taking the integration of our existing passive fiber network into account. The suggested solution also allows further flexibility on the future evolution of our group’s connectivity needs. Ours will thus be a long term partnership” explained Jean Gavroy, IT Director of Cactus.
“Only an operator backed by an integrator’s skills and agility would have been able to meet our client’s needs with a seamless solution. We are particularly proud of this expression of confidence”, said Yannick Freyermuth, Account Manager by Telindus.
About Cactus
The first Cactus store was created in 1967. With some 4 000 employees and 2 hypermarkets, 11 supermarkets, 6 Cactus market convenience stores, 2 Cactus Hobbi and 18 Cactus Shoppi grocery stores, the Cactus group is the 3rd largest private employer in Luxembourg. This family enterprise is highly diversified, with malls, hyper-and supermarkets, a restaurant branch and a catering service, a major food production branch, a coffee roasting plant and its own advertising agency. In an increasingly globalized world and in a competitive environment marked by foreign multinationals, Cactus is undoubtedly one of the brands most attached to the image of Luxembourg and its citizens. Both in terms of customers and commercial partners, Cactus is deeply related to the country that has given birth to it. Cactus makes it a point of honor to distinguish itself through its offer in fresh products, through the largest selection of local products and superior quality, and finally, through its societal commitment.
10 April 2013 - Telindus Telecom confirms ongoing growth: innovation strategy finds expression in launch of self-service cloud solution
In 2012 Telindus Luxembourg confirmed its indisputable position as leader in the field of cloud computing through its operator brand Telindus Telecom. Recognized through four awards since it was launched, Telindus Telecom has enabled more than 89 customers to benefit from its shared ICT services.
With continued investments in business connectivity as enabler Telindus Telecom has launched U-cloud, a self-service virtual data-centre to address a broader and growing cloud market.
Telindus Luxembourg pursues its five-year plan by positioning its operator brand Telindus Telecom as the indisputable leader in the Luxembourg market for cloud solutions. Business connectivity also constitutes a rapid source of growth.
In 2011, the strategic reorientation plan called for investments of €20 million in the period to 2015. Investments made in the first two years of the plan have so far made it possible to offer connectivity services covering the main business areas and bringing together practically all the country’s data-centres, as well as a highly secure shared cloud platform with very high availability. Telindus Telecom’s customers can thus rely on various services (U-touch, U-flex and U-free) covering the entire range of ICT requirements.
With four awards received in the past two years, Telindus Telecom is the best-known brand in Luxembourg for the quality of its cloud-based services. In 2011 and 2012 a panel of 50 CIOs voted the company “Cloud Computing Provider of the Year”, while in the same two years EuroCloud Luxembourg twice presented awards for “Best Case Study Example of Cloud Services for the Private Sector”.
Telindus Telecom has doubled the number of customers for cloud computing and connectivity (from 46 in 2011 to 89 in 2012). In order to respond to the strong market demand for these new solutions, the recruitment drive that started in 2011 was continued in 2012, with 30 new employees and experts taken on board. The growth of these new activities also enabled Telindus to post a 2.6% increase in total revenues.
“We are perfectly in line with the plan we drew up two years ago, and indeed the number of new customers is actually ahead of our expectations. We were the pioneers in 2011, and now we’ve established a lead that we wish to maintain. For that reason we will offer new solutions in step with our customers’ needs and developed by the best experts,” says Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman and Managing Director.
U-cloud: the latest addition to a range of four innovative solutions
Telindus Telecom has consolidated its leader position by replicating in Luxembourg a cloud platform already proven in Belgium by its parent company Belgacom, offering cloud computing in self-service mode: Telindus Telecom U-cloud.
Telindus Telecom U-cloud thus becomes Luxembourg’s first global cloud solution in self-service mode, allowing businesses to create for themselves a real virtual data-centre by means of a simple Internet interface.
“This new product completes an already well-filled portfolio of solutions, filling a gap that Telindus Telecom did not yet cover. Simple to use, not requiring any commitment, extremely competitive in terms of price, it can be tested using a “try & buy” formula. U-cloud is suitable both for major corporates and SMEs, provided they have a minimum of technical skills,” comments Christian Haux, Manager, Sales & Marketing.
U-cloud is the ideal solution for businesses wishing to have almost immediate access to computing power and storage capacity exactly tailored to their needs, while at the same time retaining the flexibility to be able to expand or reduce it at any time. Whether requirements are for running production facilities or carrying out tests and developments, whether permanently or temporarily, and wherever you are in Luxembourg, Telindus Telecom U-cloud will respond perfectly to the request.
“With U-cloud, each business can choose, depending on its needs and usage, from three formulas: a pay-as-you-use model, a monthly all-in subscription system or a hybrid model. The pay-as-you-use formula is great for peaks in usage, whereas the subscription system lends itself more to regular steady usage,” explains Jacques Ruckert, Manager, Products & Solutions.

8 May 2012 - Telindus Telecom sees strong growth: its innovative strategy is convincing more and more businesses.
Telindus Luxembourg continues to establish its ground-breaking cloud and telecom services through Telindus Telecom. Its growth strategy includes continually investing in infrastructure and staff and strengthening its «IT-as-a-Service» range of solutions. This strategy aims to enable local decision-makers to address the challenge of innovation, in order to stay competitive and to ensure long-term growth.
A winning strategy proven by double-digit growth
Telindus belongs to a select group of market leaders who have a clear vision of where they want to be, and invests accordingly. The strategic realignment initiated in 2011, which was based on an investment plan of 20 million euros
over five years and the development of new next-generation cloud and telecom services under the Telindus Telecom brand, has materialized much sooner than anticipated.
Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman & Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg says: “Telindus’ strategy is paying off, both in terms of the quality of our services and with the acquisition of new customers. We’ve seen a considerable increase in our market share linked to the bundled telecom offering, and an increase in turnover too. As part of our five-year plan, we aim to achieve a 15 to 20-per-cent market share in the enterprise market.”
Over the last year, Telindus Luxembourg has seen its turnover climb 13 per cent and, for the first time in its history, pass the 70 million mark. This growth is largely due to an increase in revenues from the provision of new services, such as telecom, data centre and cloud services. To support this strong growth, Telindus ran a recruitment campaign, taking on an additional 50 industry professionals.
In 2011, more than 40 new customers chose Telindus to manage their infrastructures, hosted their ICT environment within its data centres or made use of its telecoms links.
Innovative, high-quality services: going the extra mile to become the preferred telecoms operator for businesses
Thanks to a series of major investments and a corporate culture that focuses on innovation and customer service, Telindus is now able to position itself as a telecom operator that offers the highest level of service and access.
Christian Haux, Commercial & Marketing Director of Telindus Luxembourg, says: “The benchmark has been set. Telindus has won over many business decision-makers thanks to its ability to listen to their requirements and understand the challenges they face. Telindus aims to stand out from the crowd by providing high-quality end-to-end services, supporting its customers in their growth over the long term.”
Countless Luxembourg firms of all sizes and from various industries have put their faith in Telindus Telecom to lead them into the cloud era. This includes, most notably, companies and organizations from the financial sector such as ABN Amro Luxembourg, l’Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds d’Investissement (Luxembourg Investment Funds Association), l’Institut de Formation Bancaire Luxembourg (Luxembourg Institute for Training in Banking), ING Life Luxembourg (ILL) and Securities & Financial Solutions (SFS).
Telindus Telecom also has many customers from the services sectors, such as Legitech, BD Associates Partners to Leaders, Peter & Clark, Xpectis, and the manufacturing and construction sectors, such as Compagnie de Construction Luxembourgeoise (CDCL).
Patrick Lommel, CDCL’s Financial & Administrative Director and member of the management board, says: “For CDCL, the decision was easy. As we’re expanding and reviving our business, it was essential for us to refocus on our core activities. A major benefit of Telindus Telecom’s global cloud and connectivity solutions is that they provide all the ICT services, including telephony, from their cloud platform.”
Telindus Telecom’s data centre and connectivity services have attracted both large local organizations, including respectively, Foyer Assurances and the European Investment Bank (connectivity only), and major international companies. Several foreign companies have also chosen to establish an ICT base within Telindus Telecom’s data centres, including, most notably, Cobelfret. In addition, Telindus has secured customers from the emerging online video games market. Several companies and industry leaders in massively multiplayer online games, such as the Russian company Innova, have been drawn to the turnkey solution, which effectively combines data centre and ICT services.
Innovative products open doors to new ways of working
The key to this strategy is offering an all-in-one cloud solution, which includes operational and connectivity services and ICT architecture.
Jacques Ruckert, Telindus’ Products & Solutions Director, explains: «Through our cloud products, we offer businesses complete operational support of their ICT environment, with guaranteed results. Our customers are therefore able to focus on their core business, benefiting from a highly accessible solution, without investing or having responsibility for managing the solution, as information technology becomes a service provided by Telindus.»

The campaign reflects the company’s values, using surprising and thought-provoking visuals to create a striking effect, and which go beyond Telindus’ flawless technology knowledge to focus on its strong relations with customers.

26 October 2009 - Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) and Telindus Luxembourg sign partnership agreement
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) has signed its very first agreement with an industrial partner: Only a few months after the research centre was launched by the University of Luxembourg, SnT has entered a partnership with Telindus Luxembourg S.A. “This is a significant milestone for us”, says SnT-Director Prof Björn Ottersten. “ As one of the main Information and communication technology companies in the region, Telindus is an ideal research partner for our centre.” Telindus will contribute know-how and resources to build a research programme in Communication and Network Infrastructures. The company’s CEO, Gérard Hoffmann, has been instrumental in establishing SnT at the University of Luxembourg.
SnT, founded in February 2009 and situated on Campus Kirchberg, is committed to facilitating research in collaboration with established partners as well as new start-ups in the ICT industry. The SnT partnership programme forms a platform for cooperation with industrial and governmental partners. Partners contribute to SnT projects both with funding and with know-how through research participation. In addition partners will contribute at all levels in strategic planning and through representation on the SnT advisory board.
The first research activity launched with Telindus is a project building a federated test bed for public safety communication and information systems. The test bed will allow European telecom manufactures and software providers to carry out tests and evaluation of their products, results of R&D projects in an international environment with participation of public safety users. The Federated test bed will make possible to test large scale heterogeneous communication systems including the heterogeneous networks simultaneously based on several standards such as GPRS, UMTS, WLAN, WiMax, PMR. The project will be directed by SnT vice-director Prof. Thomas Engel.
Telindus Luxembourg S.A. employs 334 people and has been offering its services since 1979 in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the field of telecommunications as well as in the field of information systems. The company sees the University of Luxembourg and its research centres as key partners for the company’s innovation efforts. “For us, the partnership agreement with SnT is the basis for a long-term research collaboration”, says Telindus Luxembourg CEO Gérard Hoffmann. “The most important objective for the active link to the SnT is the expected attraction of technical expertise and highly skilled personnel: Telindus considers its trained employees as its most important asset for its further successful development in the Luxembourg market.”
17 March 2009 - Telindus Belgacom ICT Luxembourg, Luxembourg’s leading market player for the integration of information and communication technologies, now offers mobile and fixed connectivity by becoming the corporate sales channel for Tango and Belgacom
Since its integration into the Belgacom group in 2006, Telindus Luxembourg has taken a strategic turn. Today, a channel for Belgacom’s corporate offers, Telindus Luxembourg extends its portfolio to connectivity and associated managed services solutions. In Luxembourg, the combination of Telindus’ sale forces and service offer with those of Tango, the country’s second-largest mobile operator, itself integrated into the Belgacom group 6 months ago, perfectly implements this strategic evolution.
Telindus Luxembourg is the leading market player for the integration of information and communication technologies in the Grand Duchy. Over the past year and on an international level, Telindus Belgacom ICT has refocused its activities on six countries: France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg. Outside these countries, its service capacity is strengthened through solid partnerships.
With a customer centric approach, Telindus Luxembourg positions itself as the special partner for businesses and, as of now, makes Tango’s mobile communication offer as well as Belgacom and its subcontractors’ fixed connectivity offer available to Luxembourg companies. Thanks to its leading position in all economic sectors and its 30 years of establishment and development of a solutions and service portfolio in the domains of information and communication technologies, Telindus Luxembourg continues to offer a large range of solutions and service. Its ICT strategy is centred on four principal axes: converged solutions for networks and security supporting voice, video and data, solutions for information systems and data storage, professional applications and, above all, outsourcing of the entire, or part of, the clients’ ICT infrastructure.
In order to satisfy its business clientele by offering end-to-end solutions, Telindus Luxembourg now offers on top of ICT services a complete range of mobile connectivity solutions through the use of the Tango network as well as fixed national and international connectivity. Thus, the client now deals with only one contact and an end-to-end integrated solution. Hence, he benefits from a synergy between the various offers and convergent solutions. This complementarity of the services presents real benefits for the client, both for simplification and cost control purposes.
This strategy, which puts the client at the centre of its offer, is expressed by the group’s new organisation for corporate clients in Luxembourg: the Tango sales and product teams are now run by Telindus Luxembourg
management. The general management of these new B2B teams from two different companies is in the hands of Gérard Hoffmann.
The international development, focusing mainly on Luxembourg’s neighbouring countries through Telindus Belgacom ICT, constitutes another advantage for international companies, for whom a complete service is essential.
Apart from its presence in six European countries, Telindus Belgacom ICT ensures the distribution of its solutions in other countries through third party partnerships at the clients’ locations. Set up in Esch-sur-Alzette, the operational platform of the ROC (Remote Operating Center) allows Telindus Luxembourg for example to remotely offer company networks LAN management solutions, security management solutions (firewalls) and VoIP management solutions at the various sites of the clients. Apart from mobility and ROC, significant investments are underway to ensure the promotion and the development of the latest technological innovations and in particular: telepresence, videostreaming, VoIP, videosurveillance.
“Telindus Luxembourg assumes its position as market leader by offering certified services for each of its technologies”, suggests Jacques Ruckert, Networking, Security and Connectivity Solutions Director of Telindus Luxembourg and responsible for Tango B2B products.
For 2010, Telindus Luxembourg commits itself to resolutely develop all convergent solutions: “More than ever, our mission is to guarantee everyone access to all types of services, wherever and whenever, in an easy and secure manner, via all kinds of devices connected to the fixed or mobile network”, explains Christian Haux, Commercial Director of Telindus Luxembourg and B2B commercial activities of Tango. “The teaming up of both companies will provide a complete and convergent B2B offer to the market which is unique in Luxembourg” stresses Didier Rouma, CEO of Tango.
“We want to offer the best of both worlds: telecommunications services combined with the best of ICT solutions and services – all together to make it easier for the client”, says Gérard Hoffmann, Chairman and Managing Director of Telindus Luxembourg and Executive Board member in charge of Tango’s B2B activities.

24 May 2011 - Telindus Telecom: a new kind of telecom operator for the business market
If you were asked who the ICT leader in Luxembourg is, you would say Telindus.
But if you were asked who the leader in the telecom market is, what would come to your mind?
Until now, CIOs have had to be skilful jugglers to find the best solution out of the often inflexible and incomplete offerings from operators in order to find the best compromise in the interest of their companies.
But now a new kind of telecom operator has arrived, providing the first global telecom and ICT solution for businesses in Luxembourg. That operator is Telindus Telecom.
The best of both worlds
With the launch of Telindus Telecom, Luxembourg’s ICT leader has now become a provider of fully integrated communications solutions. As an expert in both telecommunications and ICT, Telindus Telecom can offer the best of both worlds to its clients, which is a real competitive advantage in the current telecom market.
From now on, companies will no longer have to compromise. Whether you are an SME, a large company or a local authority, Telindus Telecom can provide tailor-made connectivity solutions, adapted to your specific needs, including fixed and mobile telephony, Internet, networking and cloud computing.
Highly competitive connectivity services
Bringing together the combined telecommunications skills of Belgacom and Telindus, as well as its customer proximity, Telindus Telecom provides its clients in Luxembourg with a highly competitive connectivity service both on a national and international level.
Telindus operates a state-of-the-art optical network in Luxembourg, an MPLS network, its own Internet access platform and integrates Tango services for mobile requirements. In Luxembourg, the network already covers the country’s major business areas, including Bettembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette, Windhof, Potaschberg, Munsbach, Strassen, Cloche d’or and Kirchberg, and will be rolled out across all areas with high business density. To meet international clients’ requirements, Telindus Telecom offers a full range of telecom services through Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS). And to deliver its cloud solutions, Telindus is equipped with a high-performance data centre environment within the infrastructure of LuxConnect.
Telindus is firmly committed to its telecom operator business, and shall invest more than 20 million euros over the next five years to continue expanding its activities in this field.
On top of these technical aspects, Telindus Telecom also aims to stand out for its flexible, reactive, dynamic approach and high level of customer service.
All the skills of Telindus Luxembourg
A significant advantage for CIOs is that end-to-end solutions are provided by one dedicated single point of contact within Telindus Telecom, speeding up decision-making processes and improving its clients’ productivity.
Over recent months, Telindus has strengthened its staff by bringing on board a team of telecom experts. There are now more than 400 Telindus Luxembourg and Tango specialists working on providing ideal solutions to meet the needs of different types of businesses, meaning Telindus Telecom is ideally placed to respond to its clients’ requirements.
A EuroCloud award, and 30 clients already on the Telindus backbone
International companies are moving towards convergence and consolidation. Telindus already accommodates several such companies for their consolidation needs through its principal data centre or for back-up services.
Telindus currently houses more than 30 clients on its optical backbone, allowing them to benefit from fixed and mobile telephony services, Internet, networking and cloud computing. On 19 May, the Telindus cloud offering was awarded “Best Case Study Example of Cloud Services for the Private Sector” by EuroCloud Luxembourg.
