EuroCloud Luxembourg
Luxembourg, 8 Janvier 2010 – A number of private and institutional actors joined forces at the end of December 2009 to launch the association “EuroCloud Luxembourg A.s.b.l.”. Fedil – Business Federation Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association and the companies e-Kenz S.A., Telindus Luxembourg. and Luxconnect S.A. are amongst the association’s founding members.
The association has made it its mission to bring together local companies engaged in the field of information virtualisation technologies with the aim:
- to set up and exploit an exchange and expertise platform in matters relating to Cloud computing, Software as a Service as well as similar technologies in Luxembourg,
- to promote services and applications of Cloud computing Software as a Service as well as similar technologies at national and international level,
- to take part in the development of standards and technical and legal reference material in the field of Cloud computing, Software as a Service as well as similar technologies at European and international level.
The creation of EuroCloud Luxembourg is in line with a pan-European movement and is part of a European EuroCloud community that brings together national companies and associations active in this particular field. This network allows for a regular exchange of views amongst partners on issues of common interest and to develop coherent strategies at a European level in order to position Europe in relation to other regions and continents in terms of virtualisation services and technologies.
