Cisco Unified Collaboration

Cisco UC is based on an IP telephony solution. It can accommodate 50 to 30,000 devices.

The Cisco UC portfolio offers a variety of solutions for this:

  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager Express (CCME)
  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager Business Edition (CUCM BE)
  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM)

Cisco UC is part of an environment in which LAN, WAN and the various applications work together in perfect harmony. To maintain this balanced environment and develop specific applications, a technological collaboration with several partners was established. Cisco manages this collaboration with third parties and their developers via the Cisco Technology Developer Program (CTDP). These Cisco partners include Captaris and Nokia.

Cisco UC's standard solution consists of an IP telephony component with a voice or unified messaging application. Depending on the customer's requirements, other applications can be added (Presence and Microsoft OCS, greeting service, call recording, contact center, fax server and billing).

Thanks to the Application Environment, they can also be adapted to company applications such as ERP, SAP, etc.

To ensure optimal user management, these applications can be perfectly integrated into existing LDAP systems such as Windows Active Directory.

In the range of Cisco UC solutions, videoconferencing and Web conferencing with document-sharing are a growing success. Point-to-point videotelephony (Video Advantage) and videoconferencing (TelePresence) are among the solutions proposed. In addition, it is possible to benefit from dedicated Web conferencing with document-sharing (MeetingPlace Express).

The solution can be managed centrally from a remote location.

Different maintenance modules can be offered to the customer, depending on the latter's request.

The solution can be designed for single- or multi-site distribution.
